Holly eyed him from the back of the room. She bit her lower lip as she tried to absorb every part of him. His dark hair, his sharp eyes, the way he put his things down, all of it.
"Holly! What is the answer then?" Mr. Adam asked her, clearly annoyed.
"Wha—uh—um—4?"
He gave her a long, stern look, and said nothing.
Oh crap.
"Correct. Pay attention."
Whew. Note to self: don't stare at Robert any more than a second.
Holly never had a crush, so when her friends were told she had feelings for someone, they were just as surprised as she was. And the bad part was that she was crushing on Robert hard.
They had met in second grade. She hadn't known that he'd been living next to her for 5 years. When she saw him, she instantly knew she'd been lost. He lured her in with his smile and trapped her with his personality. She tried to forget him, but that just maked it worse. She always ends up loving him even more.
"I swear he likes me too, guys! Really! Every morning he says hi!"
"He says hi to everyone, Holly." Michelle said while reading Oliver Twist.
"But he smiles when he looks at me, and I can see it in his eyes! His dark, alluring, cute..." Holly continued on naming the different aspects of Robert that she loved.
"Well maybe he's just showing pity for us. You are crazy." Samantha said sarcastically.
"Whatever, he likes me too and I know it."
After an "exciting" lunch filled with boring talks and quiet playing in a dusty band room, Holly sat down in her seat. Robert came by and waved at her. She tried to control her eagerness and smiled back. After school, she opened her window and gazed out. She could see his shadow on his curtain. She always observed him when she had nothing better to do.
She closed her curtains and laid down on her bed. She floated off to a different world. Soft, warm, and sweet embraces.
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
Morning already?
Holly turned off her alarm and crawled out of bed when a dark, cold hand gripped her mouth and pulled her back. As fear was coursing through her veins, she was pulled into a sack, and hit on the head with a large, blunt object. As she faded into darkness, she smelled something familiar.
She woke up in a dark room, ropes binding her to a chair. She thrashed around wildly but nothing had happened. The dark figure stepped into the light again. He took out a container from his pocket and pried open her mouth. She fought him viciously, but to no avail. She had swallowed whatever he had put into her.
As her eyelids began to weigh more and more, she said one thing before blacking out.
"...Robert...?"
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
Holly climbed out of bed and turned off her alarm. She continued her morning routine with a headache. She climbed into the bright yellow school bus, trying not to trip since the pain was abounding.
She saw Robert in class. Before math, she had noticed he wasn't in his seat.
Where is he?
She turned around and saw that he was walking towards her.
"Hey Holly,"
"H-h-hey R-Robert!"
