'Reena!'

'Hmm?' Reena snapped back into reality.

'Can you please stop tapping your pen against the desk? I'm trying to improve my grade and your constant tapping isn't helping.' Reggie, sitting in front of Reena, angrily mumbled and turned back around in his seat.

'Sorry', Reena sighed and stared at the whiteboard.

Maths. To Reena, it was known as a whole period of confusion and restlessness. She mostly spent her time staring out of the window, wondering what she'll do in Drama Club later. Maybe she would ponder about buying a chocolate milk at lunch, or maybe she'll think about saving her money for Pop's after school.

Although food was consistently circulated Reena's mind, she mostly thought about her friends. Reena didn't belong to a certain clique, though she mostly hung out with Kevin Keller. It was hard to get on Reena's good list, especially when it came to her rules.

For instance. Reggie Mantle, the jock that just scolded her for her pen tapping habit, and Reena would never get along. Reggie violates rule #7, 'never be friends with jocks'. This eliminates half of the boys at Riverdale high, most of them parade around school with a varsity jacket on while tossing some kind of ball into the air. Reena didn't set these rules for the fun of it, she did it to protect herself.

The bell rung and Reena's math teacher excused the class. Reena packed up her belongings, threw her backpack on her back and headed to Drama Club. Kevin Keller, leader of the Drama Club and one of Reena's closet friends, was putting on a production of 'Carre: the musical'. Although Reena was only apart of the stage production crew, she still showed up to every Drama Club meeting to ensure she properly knew when the curtains were drawn, which part of the play the lights go on and to hear the gossip.

Reena wasn't interested in the Drama Club whatsoever but ever since Betty Cooper joined, her interest spiked. You see, Reena was responsible for solving the case of Jason Blossom's murder, but no one knew. Reena would send anonymous messages to the Blue and Gold to help out and eventually lead Betty and Jughead onto Cliff Blossom. How did Reena know this sort of information? That's a secretly she'll never tell. Riverdale named her 'Shelly', for reasons only Jughead and Reena knew about, but that's not important now.

After solving the crime of Jason Blossom's murder, Reena swore she would never return to being Shelly but she still liked to eavesdrop on Betty and the gang every now and then. Reena knew that Jughead was looking for her to help out with the black hood but she refused to involve herself in crime, not since she almost got caught by Sheriff Keller.

'Reena thank goodness you're here. Lee Fynn doesn't know anything about the lighting rig. If his family weren't funding this musical, I would kick him out in a heartbeat', Kevin was carrying around a clipboard looking extremely flustered as he spoke to Reena, 'Can you please go and teach him?'

'Yeah sure. Anything for you Kev.' Reena looked around at the stage to see that Betty and Veronica were rehearsing for the 'Do Me a Favour' scene.

'Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.' Kevin grabbed one of Reena's shoulders and pulled her into a side hug.

Reena walked up the stage steps and wondered side stage to the lighting rig where she was met with Leah Flynn fiddling with a panel of buttons.

'If only I could get this working!' Leah signed and picked up his phone. Reena could clearly see him scrolling through a Wikihow page titled 'How to use a lighting rig'.

Reena tried to figure out what was wrong and chuckled under her breath when she saw that the lights weren't plugged in. She picked up the extension cord and gently nudged Leah in the back with it, which made him jump.
