- im so sorry about the inactivity. I've been stressing so much recently about school, friends and updating this book. I try my best to update at least once or twice a week for you guys but I'm not feeling my best nor even happy lately. a lot of stuff is going on in my life right now and I hope you all understand. sorry again <3
"you did so" I grinned and then mischievously smirked, looking out the window
"and why, Rose" Ethan questioned. "why would I like that self centred hag called Connie McDoofus. I thought you knew I like that friend of yours" he rolled his eyes and folded his arms on his chest, breathing heavily
"Connie Mcdoofus?" I snorted and looked at him in disbelief. he nodded. "well, according to her you did have a tiny crush on her"
"just a few minutes ago you were explaining to me that she cant be trusted" he scowled and raised an eyebrow. I know he didn't like Connie. i'm just messing with him just to hear him say that he likes May. I've actually been secretly recording this whole conversation and so far he hasn't noticed. now i'm debating whether to show this to May or not. it would be sweet revenge on Ethan and all the torture he has put me through but right now, i'm seeing another side of Ethan Reynolds that has been invisible to me. he's being nice to me for once
I don't know if its because this bus might have magical powers or that he's starting to grow on me. either way i'm starting to be more open with him too. I even told him about the whole connie situation and about Joey and Alex. he says that it was a good move to leave Connie and Tiana and focus on May and Karla. but for the Alex and joey situation, he says he's disappointed in Alex for making such bratty moves during my relationship with joey and that I should just tell Alex to back off just a bit.
"whatever" I copied his actions and folded my arms across my chest also. once he looked the other direction, I quickly stopped the recording and placed my phone in my pocket so he wouldn't ask why my phone was out in the first place. I should be a spy
"hey...marlin?" Ethan spoke and I looked up to him, seeing him glare at me.
"yeah?" I said and he sucked in a breath
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I've been a douche to you. you don't understand how much guilt I've been feeling all these years" he sighed and pouts to himself. "I don't even know why I bullied you like that. my mum thinks its because I had a crush on you or something" he said whilst shaking his head.
as I was nodding at his apology, I soon processed what he said then blinked twice.

"had." he said then chuckled. "I don't have I had a crush on you back then."

changing the topic, I looked outside and saw that we have arrived to our new school
"we're here" we said at the same time and I bolted my eyes at him
"I said it first" I spat like a child
"well i'm out of here first" he said before running out of he bus. he didn't even say thank you to the bus driver
not forgetting to thank the bus driver, i also ran out of the bus then slowed down once I found myself in front of the school doors.
"I win" Ethan said as he came up beside me
"that wasn't fair. you got a head start" I whined and stomped my foot against the floor
"its called speed, my friend. to succeed that, you need to lay off the donuts" did he just- "i'm kidding!" he laughed as soon as he saw my mouth drop
"come on, lets go in. we don't want to be late on our first day do we?" he smirked then held his bag straps as he walked inside the school building. how is he so chill about our first day of school? i'm stressing my butt off!
I already feel people staring at us.
"they're new right?"
"hopefully that new guy is single"
"she looks familiar"
"rumour says that she's the girl that Joey has been talking about"
I stopped eavesdropping once I felt Ethan nudge my shoulder and he gestured me to look ahead. in front of me, I saw Alex about a metre away. Alex slowed down as we did too once he noticed me and Ethan

"hey..." Alex said weirdly as we stopped in the middle of the halls. he wore a black t-shirt with grey jacket and dark jeans. Alex looked to Ethan then me then he muttered something under his breath
"spit it out, bets"Ethan demanded. "why are you judging?"
Alex rolled his eyes. "you two are friends now?" he asked with a raised eyebrow
"we made up" Ethan shrugged
"congratulations" Alex sarcastically chuckled as he shook his head. "you forgave him?" he said directly to me and I stepped back.
"yes" I replied then the school bell rang
"you're going to regret it later" he scoffed then pushed past me, gripping his bag tightly

"then you minus the two then square the eight" the teacher went on with he maths equations on the board. I feel like half of the time i'm hearing her say nothing but blah blah blah blah. I hate maths with a passion. before this class started, the teacher made me stand up and introduce myself. I hate public speaking as much as I hate maths. she didn't even ask Ethan to stand up! luckily I have Charles in my class and thats the only good thing
"psst" I heard from the open window I sat next to and I furrowed my eyebrows, looking outside
chad's head popped up into the window with his goofy smile. he then whispered something but I couldn't hear
"what?" I said quietly
chad looked around in the class room then swung his leg over the window, attempting to slip into the classroom secretly but ended up falling face first on the floor. at least he made it in
slipping in the seat next to me, chad whispered "joey wants to see you in the halls...now"
I looked over at Charles who sighed and rubbed his forehead looking disappointed in his best friend
"who are you and what are you doing in my class!" we heard the teacher yell and I jumped
all eyes were now on chad a he giggled nervously. "this isn't the boys bathroom..." he stuttered
