Tobias POV:

"So why are we in south? And why are there only two people?" Zeke asks me
"Well. There is only one of two room Tris could be in. Nico could be anywhere." I say.
"Okay. So you check that room and I am going to check this one."
I nod.
I kick the door and it made a crack. I kick the door again.
It breaks.
I remove the rubble from my way.
"No one." I shout.
"Same here." Zeke shouts back.
I turn on my walkie-talkie.
"Anything?" I ask.
"Not a person." They reply.
I groan.
"Let's go Zeke."
"Hey...Uh...I might not be the smartest person but I think Marcus would put her in the darkest place down here right?" Zeke says.
"Yes."
"Well in the room that you broke into there is a staircase."
"And we can check down there. See? I knew there was a brain in there."
Zeke rolls his eyes.
We walk into the room and walk down the stairs.
"Ew. Rats." Zeke says.
"Tris hates them." I say.
"Oh. So why does Christina hate you?"
"I don't know. Ever since Tris was taken she wanted nothing to do with me."
"I think that means that if Tris had never gotten together with you she would have never been 'killed.'"
"Thanks for the clarification." I say sarcastically.
We stop at a door, a huge one.
With a lock.
"How the hell do I open this?" I ask. "I mean I know how to but I don't have a glass."
Zeke hands me a glass cup.
"Why?" I ask.
"Do you want the cup or not?"
I take and press it to the door.
I twist and turn the lock.
Then I hear a click.
"It's open." I say tossing the glass on the floor.
"Hey! That was my glass."
"Let's find Tris and I will give you a better one."
I open the door and my eyes widen.
I rush over to the small body.
Her blonde hair covers her face.
Tris.
I check her pulse.
Really low.
"Get Nico. I'll take Tris." I say.
I lift Tris up and turn on my walkie-talkie.
"We found them. Go back to base. I need to get to the hospital."
Zeke and I run out of the labyrinth.
"Nico is surprisingly light." Zeke says.
I don't answer I keep running.
We are in the palace by now.
Hana stops me.
"Just take her to your room. The doctor set everything up."
I rush to my room and set her on the bed.
"Alright Tobias. We need you to leave." The doctor says.
"No I have to stay here."
"Tobias, you have to go."
Zeke, Uriah, and Will have to pull me out.
The doctor closes the door.
Christina, Caleb, and Natalie come running in.
"Where is she?" Christina asks.
"We have to wait." I reply.
Christina walks over to the window and I walk over to her.
"Go away." She says.
"Why are you so mad at me?"
"I hate you. If Tris hadn't met you you nothing would have happened to her!"
"I didn't know! You said you would protect her. I swear, if anything happens to her, I will hurt you."
I feel bad but my smart side comes out my mouth. And I say,
"I'd like to see you try."
Christina lunges at me but Will stops her.
She struggles against Will. I watch the tears fall down her face.
Will whispers in her ear and she nods her head.
I feel bad and I turn away.
