You sighed before laying on your bed, just quietly looking at the ceiling. Everything around was also quiet, only the sound of your breathing can be heard in the room. You lift your arms looking at the visible cuts. Some cuts are fresh due to what you did yesterday
Suddenly, the sound of raindrops can be heard. It caught your attention. You then looked at your window, only to notice it was heavily raining outside.
Nothing to do in the house, you decided to go outside. You grabbed your (F/C) raincoat. You head at the door and locked it. Ever since your parents had abandoned you, everyday you learned to survive. You manage to learn to live by yourself even though at your age
You were walking alone in the middle of the rain. Heading to the nearest forest. That's where you walk when it's rainy. It's your favorite place when it rains
You stood at your favorite spot staring at the trees. It was windy though. You watch its leaves sway due to the wind. You lift your head to look at the dark grey clouds
You turned your head to the side and saw the familiar cave. You always see that as you stand here and watch everything in silence and enjoy the sound of the rain. Every look you take at the cave, an interest and curiosity always spark on you. You never really went there, but this time, you decided to do something different. For that sake of that curiosity
You started to enter towards the dark cave. You were greeted by its eerie atmosphere. You heard the sound of the dripping water. But there were no signs of any creature as you go deeper
As you continued to walk, you notice the cave was taking you to a strange direction. You still haven't seen any different path as you explore the cave. But there's one thing you know and you were feeling
You feel like you were going up. You raised your brow in confusion. You stopped on your tracks to look around. Perhaps there is some sort of magical creature is playing tricks on you. Decided to make fool of you, and let you get lost. But there were no signs of someone, or something even here. You know the feeling of being alone, and you are also familiar with the feeling if someone or something is coming, hiding, or even with you
But there wasn't any of that.
Or perhaps it was your imagination? This was the cave you have been wanting to explore, the cave you never really went and never really know what's inside of it. This sure was a new experience for you of course
Despite the thoughts, despite being umsure and confused you continued to walk
As you began, you noticed a light visible as you walked further into it. You walked towards the light
Your conclusion was confirmed
All this time, you were going up. But how? If you were going up, at least there was one time you should be crawling. Or at least you thought. But you were straight walking.
You got up and looked around.
This 'place' you call, was completely, unbelievable. There were green grass, flowers, and trees. And the sky was blue and sunny. But also, there was something that really catched your eyes. From the distance, there are small figures. You can't make out what they were, but they were tiny, and you can various of colors that belong to those figures
You stood up and walked towards the tiny figures
"Chickens?" You furrowed your brows

You look at the end of the cave you once got into and notice it was only a green grass. You started to panic
"Oh no" You started to touch the ground looking if there's something else where you can go back
Maybe this was all a dream. Maybe there was really some sort of a fairy, or a magical creature that played tricks on you all your way 'here'. Maybe they used magic on you to fall asleep. And let you dream, and make you feel that this whole thing is reality. Or perhaps this was merely an illustion, but you're still in the cave. But deep down you know, it is absurd to think of such things
You touched the ground to inspect if the hole was still there
But still the same, green grass. You sat, looking down in defeat then looking up once again at the chickens
"They're staring at me" You muttered, feeling slightly uncomfortable
You heard some running sounds and the voice yelling. It sounds like their chasing each other
"Maybe they can help. Maybe-" You notice they were different
Two anthropomorphic hedgehogs. The one who was a pink anthropomorphic hedgehog with green eyes and peach muzzle while the other one was a blue anthropomorphic azure hedgehog with emerald eyes and same color of his muzzle being chased
The azure one was a fast one. Its speed is incredible, too unbelievable to add
"If all my conclusions are again correct, this illusion or dream they made is well done" You mumbled
Suddenly they stop and you realized they both were staring at you. You were taken back by this
"Oh no, what am I going to do?" You muttered at yourself worry what they might do to you. Since you realize you weren't like them, evidently just by their appearance. You were still you, a human. While the two are anthropomorphic hedgehogs. A freaking, hedgehog.
Sure, they do look harmless. Everythings looks nice and cheery. But as said, don't judge the book by its cover, and now it's the perfect time to use that phrase.
An echidna joined them but when he see the two hedgehog's reaction he also looked at you.
You awkwardly just looked at the ground not knowing what to do. You fidget with your fingers. You remembered you were still in your raincoat
"Hi there!" You heard cheery a voice
You looked up to see the azure one smiling at you.
You stayed at your position.
"What's your name?" The pink one asked.
"(Y-Y/N)" Was the only words that came out of your mouth
"A new face, huh? So you might be lost" The azure hedgehog asked again
"Y-yeah. I think so too" You bit your bottom lip
"Oh, by the way, I'm Sonic! Sonic the hedgehog!" He gave you a thumbs up with a smile
"And I'm Amy Rose! Sonic's future wife!"
"Amy" smiled then hugged Sonic tightly
"I'm Knuckles The Echidna" The red echidna spoke
His voice sounding stern, but still managed to smile at you. Though you can see that small suspicion in his eyes as he looked at you.
You couldn't blame him though.
"Come and we'll show you around. And then we'll hand you some clothes too" The azure hedgehog said getting out of the pink one's grasp
"That hug sure looks deadly" You thought, carefully not saying that aloud
You walk with them. You were hiding your cuts. You examined at your surroundings. You looked at the spot where you came from here and it was still gone.
You know you were really far away from home.
Everything was different. Everything here looks colorful. Unlike in your house, always gloomy. Living in a judgmental society.
You still pinched yourself. And hurt. Yes. Definitely a reality. Those absurd conclusions you made back there sank away, but hey, those were only guesses anyway. You don't know if you're gonna cheer up, be happy, worried, sad or in panic
