An Angel who has seen everything across time repeatedly has a sense of duty. Who always took things seriously regardless of how small the task is or was. Of course, still being considered a kid, did everything told by the higher-ups of the Archangels and became one of the most faithful and loyal elite of Angels. Angels who looked over Mankind, the only thing to be wary of: Mortals and their seven deadly sins that reside in them.
Pride, the one thing the humans die for because they were too stubborn enough to let anything go. Envy, is the desires that humans simply cannot obtain for themselves and become petty on their own personal return. Gluttony, what humans feel when they do not have enough and consume everything. Lust, is a craving for pleasure from the human body that has given trouble on numerous occasions. Wrath, the anger that spins around the clock on a continuous cycle of destruction never-ending. Greed a want of wealth, material, and gain that one must have in return that never stops. Sloth, is the torpid that gives no effort to any sort of moving capability for physical and mentality.
Because of these reasons no one gave a thought to them, until a promising Elder Angel went to Earth without an explanation; no one knew the whereabouts nor the time. The Elder held authority over the Angels but are just a step below from Archangels. It is rare for an Elder to move up positions. Depending on the performance of an Angel they progress to an Elder as they can choose what type of position they want. The Elder have responsibility over the Angels to help aid or guide them to strive. Although, it takes years to be given the slightest chance to be chosen.
For a thousand years, the Angel neglected the duties and only waited watching time pass by hoping and gazing. Until a conversation piqued an interest over a group of Elder Angels. Adjusting to stay hidden and quiet didn't prove a problem as they were too in tune with the conversation to notice anyone eavesdropping. The talk picked off of how Angels lived among mortals as in living as one of them. It happened before with others described as imbecilic as they were naive and they seemed convinced it was always for trivial reasons to stay. Calling the Angels: Previous, as it is described as banished or lost.
The Angel continued to listen, to the unfathomable exchange of words being spoken aloud about the objects known as the Clocks of Time. The purpose of it is to travel in the past to prevent any demons corrupting any event as it can cause a chain reaction all the way to the present. But never travel into the future as it can cause the Balance to shift into unknown chaos.
They were located in the Library of Divinity within the Archangels jurisdiction that was off limits. But the Elders were confused about one thing, how did an Elder manage to get a Clock of Time? It seemed one was reported missing and has been ever since. Silence occurred as the night started to approach the sky. The subject was soon changed as other Angels approached asking for help for whatever reason. They left, unaware of the Angel who was forming a plan that same night.
After so long, I decided to edit the prologue. I got busy so I didn't have time to write and was dealing with writer's block yet again. I took this as an opportunity to rewrite it.
Hope you enjoy it!
