And with harsh hands you painted a soul blue,

And with cruel eyes you swallowed one too,

With violent words you tore a heart apart,

You left it bleeding in the dark.

Out of the darkness again I rose,

A battered flower standing bold,

You tried to crush me but here I stand,

No longer a slave to your brutal hands.
