It's the way you smiled while I was hurting,
those eyes that couldn't see
the pain and sorrow in my heart
where happiness used to be.
You danced and laughed when i was dying
like a withering flower, there's no denying.
My forced smile was the funeral,
my happiness, my sorrow.
It's all a facade, can't you see?
True feelings I'd rather swallow
then to tell the truth again
and have you deny the way I felt.
It never mattered to you
in the end.
Must I say you haunt me so?
For now I see,
you never loved me dearly
To be who I am not,
it's all you wanted of me
it was never true love, clearly.
And so my heart dies a horrible death
as hope in love is my last, true breath.
