Mirror Image- Snowbarry AU (Collab Story With Cisco_SW)

Chapter 10

Recently, things anything but quiet in the lab. There had been many new developments in this Zoom business.

A new speedster had come to town. This one however was from Earth 2. A sort of parallel Earth to this one. And apparently there was an infinite amount of these Earths. It had been a lot to get their heads around but they didn't have much time to entertain this new notion as this new speedster,  Linda Park, had brought a lot of information on this Zoom character.

Apparently she was a speedster who was quite tyrannical and wanted nothing more than to conquer every Earth and had stolen Linda's speed whilst the two of them were fighting as she was The Flash on that Earth. It was quote a story but they had to work on closing all of the breaches between the two Earths so she or any other of her metahuman cronies could come through to this Earth.

But Linda was not the only new arrival as Earth 2's Wells had crossed over who was not evil. It had been strange at first for everyone in the team as he looked exactly the same as the man who had murdered her father and caused her mother to be imprisoned. 

Speaking of her mother, she had been released from prison after Caitlin showed the police the confession tape left by Wells. She had moved out of the city though and lived in a little log cabin in the outskirts Caitlin could visit her when she so pleased.

She already had seen her a couple of times to talk about Barry and Ronnie and all that had happened. She knew that she was The Flash after all so there was nothing that she could not tell her. It was much easier to be able to talk to someone a bit more openly about what was going on in her love life who she could trust. As much as she lived Cisco, he wanst particularly good at keeping secrets and seeing as he spends so much time with Barry the chances of something slipping out of his mouth were quite high.

Recently things with Barry had been okay. She tried to make sure that her building feelings for him didn't get in the way of her job but it was difficult. At times things were hard when they had to work in close quarters alone and things got especially heavy when they were aline with him doing medical checks on her. It was nearly impossible for her to breathe when she was practically naked in front of the person she was falling for.

But that was by far not the hardest thing at the moment with him. The hardest thing by far was Linda. It was obvious what was happening between them. There was an attraction that could not be denied.

Barry and Linda were getting on incredibly well and were becoming rather close as they worked together and it made Caitlin more jealous than she had ever been in her life.

She had always thought that if he was sound to move on with someone then it should be her. She always wanted it to be her at least. It only seemed natural after all the time that they had spent together and they had become very close and opened up to each other. It just felt so right.

But maybe she was wrong because Barry was obviously untreated in Linda and not her. She saw the way that their eyes always seemed to meet  and they had exactly each other these little looks and smiles. Like they had their own little code through simply looking at each other.

It enraged her that Linda could so easily come along and have what Caitlin had wanted for so long. She had been besotted with him for months now and she had been hoping that he might grow to feel the same over time. But then she comes along and takes him away from her.

She knew that this sounded petty and childish but she had been waiting for this for so long and it felt like she was so close. She just couldn't wait for them to defeat Zoom so Linda will leave and then she won't have to worry about Barry falling in love with Linda rather than her.

Caitlin had no idea what to do to make him notice her as more than just friends. He seemed almost instantly infatuated with Linda and they barely knew each other whereas she knew him beer than anyone and she couldn't get pass this friend zone. Maybe this means that she is too late. That he will only gain feelings for someone at the beginning of a relatimsbipnamd not after knowing each other for a while.
