Always Expect The Unexpected

The First Day (Chapter 2)

Everyone left except Richard. Instead, he walks up to Shara who's now facing away from him, starring at her Lotus Esprit and places a hand on her shoulder.

"You all right there?" The hand makes Shara jump. She thought everyone has left.

"I..." She turns to him, taking in a deep breath. "I am, it's just... I don't really like to talk about my dad, that's all."

"Ah, a touchy subject! I understand!" He's trying to think of something to say. He runs a hand through his short, chestnut brown hair and his face goes red in embarrassment as he can't find to say anything comforting. This makes Shara smile a bit.

"What?" He finally asks.

"Nothing..." Shara's smile grows even wider if that's even possible. "So do you want to drive the Lotus or what?" That's when Richard realises that he still has the car keys in his hands.

"God, yes!" Shara starts to make her way to the car.

The car looks even more gorgeous in the afterglow. There's only a couple of more scenes that has to be ready today but luckily those are Jeremy's and James' so Richard can enjoy driving that gorgeous car in the last rays of the sun.

"I don't think that Clarkson and May know what beauty and perfection is!" Hammond holds the door for Shara as they walk into the hallway that leads back to the offices. "I mean... If they'd have an eye for it they would know what a special car they look at!"

He walks Shara out to the front of the building. The Lotus is already parked there. 

"Umm... Shara?" He asks in a nervous voice.

"Yes, Richard?"

"Would you like to go out for a drink with me?"
