Authors explanation:
This poem represents the hardships of teenagers. Being a teenager myself I know how tough school and life can be. You're upset because of relationships, school stress, emotional and physical problems.
In this poem I wanted you to see teenagers as the warriors we are. The rhythm of this poem is our march to battle. Our pain is our gain. The only thing stopping us is ourselves. We are selfish sometimes and only see things our way. We rebel against other people because we want to make choices on our own, be ourselves.
We are the future nations of earth. We haven't won because we're still fighting. Life is defeating us but we still fight because we all have something to fight for. Welcome to our endless war. Welcome to the future.
