Weird Things I Have Done

So, here I am, doing something all storytime animators have done. Talking about weird things we have done as kids. But... I wasn't really a weird kid, i was pretty normal. I played outside, read books, played pretend with my stuffed animals.

I really hope that you weren't expecting a story about how I ate crickets, or something like that. (I actually can't stand the thought of eating bugs, it grosses me out)

But, I did have some odd things I did, like once.

When I was less than a year old, I kept trying to eat rocks. My dad and my grandfather were working on something outside, and I was outside with them. I was sitting in the driveway and would keep picking up rocks and putting them in my mouth. Keep in mind, I didn't have teeth, so there was no risk of me chipping a tooth or something, I would gum away on the things. My dad and grandfather couldn't get thier work done because the kept on having to wrestle rock out of my mouth so I wouldn't swallow them. That may have started my rock collecting habit that I haven't quite gotten out of yet.

When I was about 5 years old, I would pretend I was a cat. It actually got to the point where I would hiss at things I didn't like, such as spiders. This lasted a couple of weeks until my parents sat me down and told me not to be a cat. This probably doesn't help with people thinking I'm a furry, just because I have a couple of characters who are animals.

From kindergarten through to grade 5, I would stick it out on my own during recess and pretend I was a spy. This probably isn't really the weirdest one, but I would avoid everyone I could and pace back and forth coming up with different scenarios in my head.

When I was a kid, probably in kindergarten, I truly believed that one day I would wake up, and be a dog. Now, let me explain. I loved dogs, I still do. I just apparently loves dogs so much that I wanted to be one. The thing is, I distinctly remember telling someone that I wanted to be a dog when i grow up. 

Now, I just look back on these things I had done, and go, I was a dumb child.

I blame the wanting to be a dog thing on Disney. Stupid Lady and the Tramp and 101 Dalmatians.

... I haven't included Role-playing Pokémon in this list because if you have played any Pokemon game or watched the anime, you cannot tell me you either role played as a Pokémon or a Pokémon Trainer.
