It's been awhile since Christopher has stepped foot on the property of the old farmhouse that sits on Mel Cove. Birds chirping, suns shining, and the air is crisp. Christopher believes it's going to be a fantastic weekend. His son Jordan is bringing his girlfriend, Melissa over to meet the family.
He began cooking some dinner for everyone when a big storm came through. Yikes! Christopher said. I got to close the windows fast. As he begins shutting the windows he see's Melissa pulling up in a vehicle that looked so close to his high school sweetheart, Maxine's car. Memories came rushing back. The terrible cries from Lisa were in his head.
Get it together old man, it's just a car. Let the past go. Tonight is about Jordan and Melissa. As Melissa knocks on the door I could see Jordan nearly breaking his neck trying to answer. Calm down boy and introduce your lady. He laughed and introduced her. I told them to sit down we are going to have baked chicken, mash potatoes, macaroni, and biscuits. They looked delighted and then my son said after dinner he and his girl were going cruising. I told them that was fine.
After talking and eating they were on there mary little way. I did, however, tell them to be safe out there. Jordan said, "Oh pa we will be." I watched them leave heading out into the dark night. I just hoped they would be okay. I still could hear Lisa screaming. Sheesh, I really needed to get a grip. I went to finish up the dishes when I got a weird strange feeling something was not right. I called up Jordan when he answered I asked him where they were heading. He told me they were going out to the ice cream parlor that they would be back later. I told them to be back before 11 p.m. He agreed.
I went to lay down on the couch and somewhere between 8 p.m and 8:30 p.m I passed out. I woke to the sound of the house phone ringing. I got up and I looked at the clock it was now 11:45 p.m. I rubbed my eyes once more to make sure that was what I had seen and sure enough. I yelled out for Jordan but no answer I looked outside and Melissas car wasn't outside. I got up and checked the phone and it began to ring again. I answered. It was Jordan.
"Please help us, Pa!"
I asked what was wrong and he told me what no father wanted to hear. They were in danger and they were at the farmhouse. Mary's farmhouse. I immediately told them to leave. He informed me that they could not leave because the tires had big gashes in them. I told them to find a hiding place fast and not to move until I get there. I grabbed my keys and ran as fast as I could toward my car. I got in and made my way toward the dreadful place I call hell.
I didn't park in the driveway, I knew better. I got out with a flashlight and a knife that i kept in the vehicle. I instantly could hear my son screaming. I took off running.
"JORDAN! MELISSA! WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?!"
I yelled for them. I started to hear a growling noise. I could feel a cold sweat form. I shined my light everywhere looking for those evil, red eyes but I didn't see them.
"DAD!!!"
"WHERE ARE YOU?!"
" IN THE BARN"
I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. I made my way toward the barn. I hollered out to them. No response. I walked through the entire barn. Nobody. That's when I heard a cackle. It sounded like a witch. Then followed an eerie voice. A ladies voice.
" What are you doing on my property again? Did Spike not teach a lesson when you and your friends came many years ago lurking on my farm?"
I spun around looking for Mary. I saw a dark figure of a lady standing in the corner of the barn.
"Where is my son and his girlfriend?"
"Dead, like you will be soon."
I darted out of the barn screaming to the top of my lungs for my son and Melissa. I heard a faint girl cry coming from the house. I made my way into the cellar and walked up the stairs. I called out "Melissa, is that you?" I could see her at the top of the stairs in the kitchen floor bleeding. I grabbed her and asked her was she alright. I noticed bites all over her leg and arm. I helped her up and I asked her did she know where my son was. She said the last she saw of him was in the barn. I asked why did they come here why? Why do something so dumb? She said they planned on becoming ghost hunters. I basically bite her head off because that was the dumbest excuse in history. I told her she has to help me find Jordan because the hound would kill him
We made our way toward the barn. I began screaming for my son. As soon as I got the name Jordan out of my mouth, Melissa screamed. I looked behind us and the hellhound was standing the doorway of the barn. Melissa asked me what should we do. I replied that I really couldn't say but all I know is don't run unless need to. I noticed that there was a window near the back I told Melissa to make her way toward it. She backed up slowly and made her way toward the window. The hellhound locked eyes on her. I told her to make it snappy because I am diving out behind her. She eased the window opened and Spike lunged at her and began biting her. I hit him repeatedly I pushed Melissa out the window and I ran out the front. I could hear him running behind me.
I looked back and Spike was gone. I ran toward Melissa. I can't let you die here. I told her where I parked and told her to stay in the car until I come back with Jordan. I walked basically all over the residence when I saw my sons phone. It was destroyed. I went back inside the house and up the stairs to the bedrooms, I went.
"Jordan? Are you in here?"
I saw my son lying on the floor with blood pouring out of his body. He looked lifeless. I felt angry with Mary. I went and kneeled down near my son's body and started shaking him. As I started to cope with him being dead his eyes opened. He told me that he tried to save the boy in the cellar but he was too late. I picked him up and walked out of the home. I walked out toward the driveway. I could hear the hound coming up behind me. I swung out and I felt pure pain. I could feel his razor-sharp teeth in my flesh almost to the bone. I pulled my arm back toward me. I took off running toward the car. I told Jordan to hurry and get in. The sun was peering in the trees as I got my keys out. Then it hit me. Melissa was GONE! Jordan screamed for me to look and when I did, I wish I hadn't. Melissa was running full force towards me and then Spike dove on her. He ripped her open like he did Lisa. I hopped in and grabbed Jordan. I backed out of there and called the cops. I told them what happened and they got there.
Till this day, yet again nobody knows what happened but my son and I. I hope nobody I know goes toward that awful place I call hell. My son and I went straight to the hospital right after we left to get stitches. One day I will take revenge on that farm.
