Brown

I've always hated the colour brown
until you came along

you and those coffee coloured orbs
those hazel fields of yours mesmerised me, pierced through my bastard soul, lit a fire inside and let it burn

you and that damn smile
if baffled me, how someone so broken and grey has a rainbow for a smile

you know those smiles, the contagious ones where your eyes crinkle and close and a sound so melodic comes out of your mouth
a sound so beautiful i wonder if this is how angels sing

i can't help but get lost in your details
those small details are where i found solace
they're where i found my soul
i love you
my home
