Xavier and I couldn't be any closer. We've been friends since they were babies. Xavier is a strong, rich, and handsome twenty year old. I am a quiet, caring, and clumsy nineteen year old. I'm the daughter of one of his families maids.

I began working for Xavier as soon as I became old enough to work. Xavier himself hired me to work for him. He's always been protective of me.

"Come on, Julie, come to the charity event I'm holding. I really want you there." Xavier gave his puppy dog eyes to me. I sighed, knowing there was no way he would let me win this argument.

"Fine, but I don't have anything good enough to wear." I crossed my arms, pouting a little. He smiled, grabbing one of my hands.

"Then I'll take you to get something." He quickly led me to one of his cars I smiled as he drove along. Suddenly the car in front of us, and I screamed. Xavier quickly stopped the car.

We were surrounded just as quickly. The men pointed guns at both of us. "Get out of the car!" One yelled as we left the car. "Get in the back seat! Both of you!"

When we got into the back, I moved over to him. He wrapped his arms around me. One got in the back and two in the front. The one in the back with us kept his gun pointed at us.

"Who's the girl?" He asked chuckling as he examined me. "We weren't supposed to be capturing anyone else."

"She's a witness, we can't let her go. Do whatever you want." The man next to us chuckled after hearing this from the man that is driving. Without warning, he grabbed me from Xavier.

"Why don't you dump this rich boy? I can make you feel amazing." His hand touched my butt. Angered, Xavier grabbed me back, injuring the man in the process..

"Hands off asshole. She has nothing to do with this. Just let her go." Xavier snapped at him.

"Damn you rich people!" He shot Xavier in the arm. I tried to stop his bleeding, but only managed to slow it. "You should really learn your place. Now, where were we, cutie?"

He pulled me next to him again. I tried get away, but his grip was too tight. Xavier was getting furious at him. He had his hands all over me, feeling me up and down. I watched Xavier, my eyes filled with tears, begging for help. He wouldn't stop, no matter how hard I tried to get away.

"Please..." I was begging quietly as I began to give in. Just as I was about to let him have what he wanted, the driver began to speed up. He looked over at his friend.

"Are you crazy?!" He yelled seeing the police that blocked the road. He had let me go, and I was watching the scene unfold. Xavier held me close, burying my head into his chest.

That's the last thing I remember before waking up in a hospital. Before seeing Xavier, or, what was left. He stood above me, the majority of his body replaced with robotic parts.

"Julie, you're finally awake." He smiled, putting a hand on my cheek. It was metal, but it felt warm. Unexpectedly, I started crying. "Hey, it's okay. I'm right here..."

Xavier pulled me into his new metal arms. I ran my fingers over the oddly warm metal. "What happened..?" I asked quietly.

"When they sped towards the police, we crashed. I shielded you with my body." His words made me cry. "I would have been completely paralyzed if I didn't do something."

I looked into his eyes. At least they were the same. "There had to be other options." I said cuddling into his warm metal chest. "Not that I don't want you to be okay, it's just..."

"It's okay, Julie, I understand. But, I did this for you. I'm stronger with these now, so I can protect you." He rested his chin on the top of my head. "No one will ever touch you like he did again."

I smiled a little, but I was sad. He didn't have to do this for me, I'm just a maid. "How long was I out for..?" I asked curiously.

"Three days. You had the best care. I made sure of it." His words made me blush. He's always cared for me so much, but why all this?

"What about your fiancée? Won't she be angry?" I pulled away, looking at the hospital floor.

"I'm sure she will be when she gets here, but let's not worry about that. Honestly, I'm just glad you are okay. You could have died." Now Xavier seemed sad. "You have a slight concussion, and a few scratches. Nothing more."

I nodded as he was called out of the room to talk to Claire, his fiancée. She could be heard yelling about his condition. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOURSELF?!" Claire was obviously furious. "This wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for that good for nothing maid!"

She burst into the room. My eyes shot down. Claire slowly walked over to me, raising her hand to hit me. She's always been abusive towards me, but only when Xavier wasn't around.

Xavier stopped her just as I braced myself. "She is injured, leave her alone." They glared at each other until she stormed off. Xavier sighed in relief.
