And so Betty Cooper had found her darkness, she grew to understand it more but it was slowly making everything more complicated, for her friends, family and relationships. In this small town nothing is ever normal, nothing is ever unknown
Jughead looks up from his laptop when he hears someone enter the diner, it's Betty Cooper, the one who he's been avoiding for a full week now but she's too determined to give up on him
"Can I join you?" She asks, Jughead closes his laptop and lets her sit next to him
"Jug... I miss you" she admits in a hushed voice
"Yeah. Seems like you do, that kiss you had with Archie seemed like you missed me a whole lot" he scoffs taking off his crown like beanie off of his head in frustration
"Jughead, I thought you didn't want to see me. I thought that we were over and I just-I won't deny that I did it but I can deny that I have feelings for him. We were both two broken hearts wanting to mend" she replies
"What? That's suppose to make me feel better? You betrayed me, Betty. You went against all that we shared, does it not mean anything to you? I mean you are Alice Coopers daughter right?" He scoffs, she knows that she should hit him for insulting her but she doesn't because it's true
"You're right... I am her daughter. But I'm not like her, Jug" she defends her self as she unclenches her fists from under the table, she then sighs showing him her hands
"I have a sickening darkness, Jug. I feel like I'm just going to snap and it'll just wash over me" Betty starts to tear up which like always softens Jughead, he takes her hands in his then kisses them
"Oh, Betty Cooper. I don't care that you have a darkness about you because I have it too" Jughead says with a charming smile
"We're two people on different paths but have each other to hold on the way" he adds causing Betty to lean in and kiss the boy she's missed for so long, missing his lips, they were finally back to where they were and will be able to move on.
