She'd trade clorado if he'd take her with him. Closes the door before the winter let's the cold in.
"Mum! I don't want to go!" A four year old Ryan complained. It was his first day of primary school.
"Go on honey, you'll be fine when you get in there. See that boy on the swings? Go say hi love."
"Fine. I will see you at lunch time."
Ryan ran over to the swings.
"Hi! I'm Ryan and I'm four."
"Hey Ryan. I'm shane and I'm five."
And wonders if her love is strong enough to make him stay. She's answered by the tail lights, shining through the window pane.
" I don't t-think I can do this s-shane."
A nervous ryan spoke quietly.
"Come on buddy your seven now. It's just an assembly. "
"I d-don't want to s-say my lines by m-myself."
Shane held Ryan's hands and crouched down, looking up at the younger boy sitting in the chair.
"I'll ask miss if we can say them together if you want."
"R-really?" Ryan looked at shane with hope In his eyes
"Of course! I'll go ask now."
He said I wanna see you again. But I'm stuck in colder weather. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Can I call you then? She said your a ramblin' man,
Shane and Ryan sat at the top of a tree looking over what would be their school for only one more day. Memories of their time spent at primary together danced in front of them.
"I'll miss this place." Shane said softly.
"So will I. But think how the world moves on. Six formers are leaving their secondary schools so that we can go there. We're leaving here so new reseption children can meet each other and become close friends like we did. And in six or seven years time, we will be the ones leaving secondary. Seeing all the new year sevens. Recognising some of them from primary. It's just incredible if you think about it." Ryan hadn't noticed that small tears had started forming in his eyes until he felt shares hand slip into his.
"Are you okay?" Shane asked worried
"Never better." Ryan answered with a smile.
You ain't ever gonna change. You gotta gypsy soul to blame and you were born for leavin'
Ryan was at shane's house playing on his xbox. "This girl won't leave me alone," Ryan complained "I've told her so many times that I'm not interested but she just doesn't listen. We're only thirteen. I'd hate to see what she is like when she's older."
"Have you tried being straight forward with her?"
"Yes! I said ' look Marie, your a lovely girl but I really don't like you in that way I like someone else so just please drop it before things get out of hand." Shane raised his eyebrows.
"Who is it that you like then? Do I know them?"
"Yes you've met them."
"Next time you see them, you should confess your them. You should kiss them." Shane said with a smirk.
"O-oh. Okay then." Ryan leaning towards shane and closes his eyes. Firework explode inside him as their lips make contact. And after a while, they broke apart for air. They pressed their foreheads together as shane smirked.
"Took you long enough."
At a truck stop diner just outside of Lincon. The night is black as the coffee he was drinking.
"I can't belive that we are sitting on a river bank at two in the morning." Ryan said with shock laced on his voice.
"It's called love ryan." Shane replied
"I've been waiting all night for you to say that." Ryan smirked as he lent over to place a small kiss on shane's soft lips.
And in the waitresses' eyes he sees. The same ol' light shinin'. He thinks of colorado. And the girl he left behind
"Shane this is so stupid. Why are your worring over something that hasn't even Happened yet?" Ryan said forcefully.
"No please you don't understand. It's so much deeper than that ." Shane pleads.
"SHANE GET A GRIP!"
He said I wanna see you again. But I'm stuck in colder weather. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Can I call you then.
"I hate myself," Ryan cried " we were doing so well. And I kicked off because I didn't understand his fear. I'm just so sorry. To the love of my life"
She said your a ramblin man. You ain't ever gonna change. You gotta gypsy soul and you were born for leavin'. Born for leavin'."
" I miss him so much," Shane cried " I just wish that he would understand. Maybe one day. To the love of my life."
Well it's a winding road when your in the lost and found. Your a lover I'm a runner. And we go round 'n round. And I love you but I leave you. I don't want you but I need you. You know it you it calls me back here baby.
*knock knock*
Ryan stood up from the end of his bed and took a sideways glance at the clock mounted on his bedside table. It read 3:34. Ryan groaned and stood up. It wasn't like he was sleeping. He hadn't slept in days. In the odd chance that he did it was because he passed out from exhaustion. He walked out of his room and make the short decent down the stairs to the found door of his apartment. He opened the door, not even checking to see who was there and gasped as he was taken into someone's arms. He felt water dripping down from above onto the top of his head. He looked up to see soft tears falling from the face of someone familiar. Shane.
"Y-you came b-back?" Ryan questioned. Shane sniffed and wiped his eyes then the small tear that was flowing down Ryan's.
"I missed the love of my life. My life line." Shane replied as he walked them backwards toward the sofa and sat each other down, pulling Ryan into his lap and slowly drifted of to sleep.
Oh I wanna see you again. But I'm stuck in colder weather. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Can I call you then? Cus I'm a ramblin man. I ain't ever gonna change. I gotta gypsy soul to blame and I was born for leavin. Born for leavin.
"Shane what's going on?" Ryan looked at shane with a glint of fear rearing in his eyes. They were walking along the decks of the Queen Mary as Ryan heard a loud Creek. Shane held Ryan's hand firmly.
"Don't worry about the scary ghosts Ryan. Nothings going to get you."
When I close my eyes I see you. No matter where I am. I can smell your perfume through these whispering pines.
"The kid!" Ryan shouted. A child, no older that 12 had been crossing a road as a car ran a red light and was heading towards the child. The fear struck the kid as he froze still, not knowing what to do. When Ryan looked back. Shane was gone and the kid was on the floor. The kid got up and screamed. Ryan ran over and asked if he was okay. The kid just kept whispering "He saved me he saved me." Ryan looked down at the floor confused. He then saw the spots of blood leading to where the car was. He saw his beautiful boyfriend laying face down. A pool of blood around his. Shane had pushed the kid out of the way, and took his life in the process.
I'm with your ghost again. It's a shame about the weather. But I know soon we'll be together and I can't wait till then. Can't wait till then.
