I woke up startled on hearing my phone going off and answered it without looking at the caller ID. "Hello"

"Hello boss, it's Jack. A body has been found near the woods" came the voice from the other side.

"I'll be there" I replied groaning, it's still really early for this. I dragged myself out of the bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up. I have not had a good night sleep in a really long time, for there has been numerous murders and missing cases reported recently, and we have no fucking lead. The police chief, Mr.White has been breathing down my neck about the cases as I am the in charge.

I take the quickest shower in the history of mankind and get dressed in my uniform. I grab an apple on the way as I don't have the privilege of breakfast. It's usually this way, breakfast is a rare opportunity.

On reaching the crime scene, I am greeted by a really bad smell, the smell of burning flesh which is weird because the dead body has marks of claws and teeth on it but there are no sign of burns. The last two cases of murder had the same scenario. The body looks like it has been ripped open by some wild animal but then there are foot prints of humans on the nearby ground. These murders are getting out of hand  and we have no fucking clue who is behind the murder of these people but one thing is clear that no one is safe in the town of Leavenworth.

"Boss, the body is of Mr.Witherman, who went missing last Saturday." Jack informed me with a frown on his face. 

"Well Jack, inform his family and after autopsy hand over his body to his family" I refuse to be the bearer of bad news, it's the most difficult part of our job to tell someone that their loved ones are no more.

"Anything else Boss" He asked, the exhaustion evident on his face.

"Yes Jack, I think there is more danger than what we anticipated, get the local TV channels to broadcast that people should be careful as there may be a serial killer roaming freely and also ask them to stay away from the woods."

"Great thinking Boss, in this way we kill two birds with one stone. If it's a wild animal people should come no where near the forest"

"Have you heard from Mr.White, Jack?" I don't know why but for some reason Mr.White seems to hate my guts and the fact that he has not called me till now after the body has been found is really weird.

"He is really impatient and wants us to give him something before the end of this week"

"I'll take care of it Jack"

"If it's all Boss I'll take your leave"

"Yes, and get me the autopsy reports as soon as they arrive"

" Yes, Boss" he nodded and went on his way.

The whole day after that passed in a blur. The autopsy reports came. The claw marks were of some animal but some hair was struck in the nails of the body and it belonged to a human, however the DNA did not match with anyone in our database. Once again a dead-end.

The ringing of my phone brought me out of my thoughts. On seeing the caller ID a smile automatically formed on my face. This man lights up my life. Even if I am having the worst of the worst day, still just his name brings a smile on my face.

"Hello" "Hello Love, I am waiting outside. Hurry up I am hu..w..n...g.ry."he spoke so fast I was not able to grasp it all but I got the gist

"On my way" i replied laughing at his antics. I went outside and found him leaning on his car looking as good as some greek god. When I was an arms distance from him he brought me in his arms and pecked my lips.

"Missed me" he whispered in my ear and I turned as red as a tomato. I don't know why his kisses always makes me feel like it's my first time being kissed.

I tried to hide my blush and replied "No, I did not miss you"

"Now that's a lie you want me to prove it to you my sweet Mila"

I chuckled "and how are you going to do it mister"

"let me demonstrate" with that he once again kissed me not a peck but a proper kiss and when he pulled away i was a mess, breathless and blushing. He laughed at my blushing face and kissed my nose when I punched him on his arm for laughing at me.

"You said you were famished so let's go have some dinner" I said trying to move the attention from myself.

" It's not me it's you who must be hungry. I know it you skipped breakfast as well as lunch" I felt like I was a kid once again getting scolded for not behaving properly and his face right now made me want to burst out in laughter but I somehow kept it in

"In my defence, it was a really busy day" i tried to excuse myself

" That's no excuse, but come-on you must be tired let's have something to eat and then we can call it a night. What do you want for dinner?"

"PIZZA" i shouted at the top of my lungs, and then realising what I did I blushed.

He chuckled at my excitement but thank god did not comment on it " well Pizza and Movie it is then."
