Third Wheeler

Percy POV (Most of these are Percy's POV)

I didn't know what happened, but Annabeth seem to... be sad all the time.

" Hey Annabeth, how school going for you?" I asked.

" Good." Annabeth said, she didn't even look at me, I knew something was wrong.

" Do you wanna go eat out today?" I asked.

" Who else is going?" she asked. She knew me so well, I thought she would just ask if it was the two of us.

" Rachel," I said.

" You want me to be a third wheeler?" Annabeth asked.

" No! I just..." I started.

" Yeah, I know, you just want me to be jealous that you have such a relationship with that red-headed girl, okay, I'll let your wish come true, I'll go." she said. I was about to say something, but the bell ringed. " History?" she asked. I nodded. We started to walk together. It was really awkward, just saying. At least, Rachel had history class with us. You might be asking," Isn't she in that school that only allow girls and wear like those long skirts?" Well, I got her out of that by talking to her dad. Once we were at history, I took a seat next to Rachel. Our history teacher, Ms. Becki, started to talk her little spiel.

" Welcome students! Take a seat! For the rest of the semester, we are gonna do a history project about Greek Mythology. Since this school doesn't have a Greek class, I decided that, we should do this! Of course you will get a partner-"

Everyone started to talk. Rachel looked at me, I nodded. I glanced at Annabeth, she was doodling in her notebook. Which isn't her at ALL.

" Guys, calm down! I'm sorry, but I seen you guys with the same person! So, I made a list of people you guys are going with!"

Everybody started to groan. I saw Rachel with her fingers crossed. Somehow, I didn't want to cross my fingers, so I didn't.

" Percy with Annabeth, Katie with Travis, Connor and Rachel, Will with Nico..." I didn't hear the rest, I walked up to Annabeth, who was still doodling in her notebook. " Hey, guess we have to work together for the rest of the semester," I said. She nodded. Just when I was about to say something, the bell interrupted me, again. " See you later I guess?" I said. She nodded. Then she headed off. She didn't even talk to me, I feel, I guess, ignored? " Hey babe," Rachel came up and kissed me, I didn't feel like kissing though, but I can't hurt Rachel, so I let her kiss me. I put my arms around her waist. " Do you want to eat out today?" I asked. " Yeah sure!" she answer. " Okay see you later babe!" I said while I was going to the boy's dorm side. She waved and went the other way. I know I should be thinking about Rachel, but I keep on think about Annabeth...

Annabeth's POV

" What's wrong?" Piper asked.

" Pipes? Why can't I be like her? I-I-" I sobbed.

" Hey, you are awesome and pretty just the way you are! Tell me what happened," Piper said. Suddenly my phone started to ring, I know demigods aren't suppose to have phones, but somehow the gods got hold of Tartarus so no more monsters come out. It was Percy who called me, I wiped away my tears. " Hey," I said. " Hey, your voice sound like you have been crying, were you crying?" Percy asked. " I- n-yes," I sighed. " Why were you crying?" Percy asked. " Why do you care Seaweed Brain?" I snapped. " Oh-I- I'm sorry, we're eating at Crescent Grill, meet us at 5," Percy said. " Okay bye," I said. " Bye," Percy replied. I hanged up. Piper looked at me, I started to tell her that I saw Percy and Rachel kissing in the hallway, how Percy asked me out but I had to be a third wheeler. " If you are going to that fancy restaurant, then, Rachel is definitely dress really pretty, so, you also have to look pretty. I have a dress that you can borrow, and I have make-up, I'll just have to give you a makeover!" Piper exclaimed. I hesitated, but Piper already got me in her makeover chair.

" Oh my gods, Pipes, this is...beautiful! I love it!" I exclaimed. Piper was smiling,"Now, you just have to get that dress on and you're finished!" I checked my phone, 4:45 PM. 15 minutes left to go. I took the dress and put it on, it had a white top part with shoulders showing, and the bottom was black, Piper handed me a belt, I put it on. My shoes were white high tops. My hair was free. " Perfect, not too formal, a bit on the casual side though," Piper said," Remember to put on chapstick! You will be eating so no lipstick or lipgloss!" I put on my chapstick. " Bye Pipes! Thanks so much!" I took my phone and started to head off...
