All was silent. There were no crickets to diffuse the tension of that eerie tranquility. The stillness freaked me out, and I found myself trying to think of the best time to leave, how to jump out of a two story house, what if I forgot something, what if I make to much noise, where would me and Destiny go? How could we-
No.
I couldn't overthink this plan. I couldn't let this plan go to shit. I couldn't do that to Destiny.
"I'm scared." Said Destiny, completely interrupting my thoughts, thank God. She's always can pull me out of my own world, I thought as I hugged her tightly,  slowly stroking her curls behind her ear, like mum did.
"I'm not. We're getting out of here. Tonight".
"Are you sure we're gonna be okay? He treated us badly, but we had a roof over our heads." As I slowly bent down, I was shocked to see tears in her eyes. The Destiny I knew wouldn't cry ever, unless if she was hurt physically but Jason- that asshole.
"We've been ready for this for a long time. Remember what mum used to call us? Her little warriors"
At that moment, I suddenly realised that we weren't just two young girls that would let anyone abuse them ever again.

We were warriors.

Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for reading the prologue of Our Last Hope! It's my first time writing a Wattpad story, and my writing skills aren't the greatest, so please make sure you give me feedback, and pick on stuff that I've missed! I know this book seem a little dark but I promise I won't make it to bad!
Happy Reading!😁😁
