6. Mercy
Having been taken and fully recognized for her breakthrough research in nanobiology, Dr. Angela Ziegler, also known as Mercy, was the one who was responsible for rescuing Genji and bringing him back to Overwatch for rebuilding. Although she disagrees with some of the more militaristic viewpoints of Overwatch, she nonetheless utilized its technology to build the Valkyrie suit she uses today.
Mercy, the angelic support, provides peerless healing and strong buffs to her allies, all while hovering immaculately over her allies. Her main weapon can be opted from a strong heal beam that constantly heals one target, to a damage buff increasing the damage that target does. Her ultimate allows her to revive every one of her teammates, giving her allies incredible momentum more than sufficient to shift the tide of the battle.
7. Hanzo
Hanzo is an aggrieved warrior frustrated from the loss of honor and guilt he felt after his murder of his brother, Genji. Heavy with the burden of his past's hauntings, he constantly travels around the world, attempting to restore his lost honor by fighting criminals and restoring justice.
Hanzo is a bow wielding defensive Character who has the abiity to one shot most of the characters in the game. His ultimate, which is the materialization of two dragons which he and his brother symbolized, can decimate everything in its path. As with any other archer, he excels in long distance combat and hunkers down to stay hidden while covering a specific spot with his wide array of arrows.
8. Mei
Regarded as the vanguard of climatology, Mei was deployed by Overwatch to conduct research on the ecological degradation of the world in select eco-Watchpoints. She was in Watchpoint: Antarctica when a massive blizzard hit and isolated the Watchpoint from the world. Without any choice left after her supplies dwindled and hope for rescue became nonexistent, she entered into cryogenesis, effectively freezing her body in hopes of being able to survive and be reinvigorated by rescuers.
With her slow speed but tank-like abilities, Mei neatly fit as a Defense hero who makes use of ice and snow to hurt, slow and, to a point, freeze her opponents. Her primary weapon slows and has the potential to freeze her enemies. What gives her her defensive shine however is her ability to erect an Ice Wall, which, if place correctly, can completely halt the progress of her enemies.
9. Pharah
Pharah dreamed of following her mother's legacy and joining Overwatch, but before she could get the chance, the group disbanded. Bereft of this dream she proceeded to become a part of the privatized security company—Helix Security. A, esteemed member of the Egyptian army, she was assigned to defend the artificial intelligence research in the Giza Plateau. She received her Raptora Mark IV combat armor back when she was still working for Helix.
The saoring Pharah is a long range offense character in Overwatch. She can drop explosives from while flying through the skies, effectively tearing down her helpless adversaries below. She uses a powerful rocket launcher that deals incredible damage to a target and everything surrounding it. Pharah's only weakness is her weapon's slow fire rate.
10. Symmetra
Satya was salvaged from extreme poverty in the slums of southern India by Vishkar Corporation. Fueled by visions of what hard light technology could accomplish, Vishkar Corporation honed Satya's natural gifts of controlling hard light to better understand and further the technology. The Corporation aimed to create new self-sustaining cities modeled after its crowning glory, Utopea, following the wreckage of the previous war. It saw hard-light's potential to be willfully manipulated by architects. Lonely and alone, Satya pursued architecture and became the very best in the field. Vishkar, however, sent Satya on secret missions under the nickname Symmetra, as he saw potential in her ina diding it to expand its influence around the world.
