Sabrina Caswell was a young when her mom had mysteriously disappeared when she had gone camping with friends. Her father had decided to call off the search for her after just three weeks of trying to find her.

"Sabrina is everything ok?" Her best friend Madison asked worriedly.

"Yeah, I'm fine just wondering why my mother disappeared and why they never found her body," she replied gravely " it just doesn't make any sense you know? like maybe she's still alive, just laughing at how my father was stupid enough to fall in love with her."

As the sun slowly went down the girls made their way to their usual meeting spot to wait for the rest of their friends to show up.

" Hey how long have you guys been out here? " a familiar male voice called out to them

" Not that Long Ethan, we were waiting on everyone to get here." Madison had said her voice filled with disgust.

' well, there goes that part of the plan that I had hoped would work' Sabrina thought.

"I wasn't trying to be mean about anything Mads" Ethan's reply rang out.

Sabrina looked at the two of them. " Seriously both of you? Madison, I asked him to be here okay so chill. I knew that he could help me hack into my mother's phone records to see where she was last." Madison looked paler than usual.

"Your mother's p-phone records?" she stuttered like she knew something about them.

"Madi? Do you know something about them?" Sabrina asked confused.

"Your mom asked my dad to hide them. She didn't want your father to get to them for some reason," she muttered quietly.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Ethan whispered " Wait does your dad know if she's alive? Or the person who possibly killed her, or kidnapped her? Is there anything else that you know but you aren't telling us?"

"No," was what Madison wanted to say but the word caught in her throat instead she let a single tear fall.

Sabrina caught the look that Ethan was giving her. "You don't believe that she doesn't know anything else do you?"

"Not in the slightest" Ethan whispered back to Sabrina. "She did just admit that she knew about the phone records, so there is the possibility that she knows more than she lets on. I mean come on, how likely is it that your mom asked her dad to hide the records for a reason. And there is no way that the records just changed without a reason."

Madison's soft voice caught them by surprise. " Guys what if my dad killed her. What if I live with a killer. I don't want to live with this for the rest of my life. Please tell me that I'm not going to die."

Sabrina suddenly cut off her friend's mindless babbling by turning around and taking off not really understanding where she was going but she hoped that they could keep up with her. She had a gut feeling that her mother wasn't the only "victim". God, she hated to think of her mother like that. But she needed to face reality, her mother probably wasn't ever coming back.

Madison and Ethan both caught up to her and looked scared. They were pointing at her eyes as they were no longer the dark brown but now a vivid green.

"Y-your eyes.... T-they changed." Madi looked startled.

Sabrina smiled softly. " I don't know why but I feel empowered" She looked towards the tree that they had stopped in front of with a small look of sadness. She started to climb the tree with speed no one thought possible.

Her friends watched in horror as she moved to jump to another tree. She jumped and landed with ease. They sighed and walked as she jumped from tree to tree.
