Rebeca's P.O.V

Fourth period went by quickly and soon the bell rang dismissing us from fourth to go to lunch. I had seen some of my old friends from nineth grade in second and thrid, but it was only three of them.

Nici, Madesyn, and Sierra. They were apart of my group in nineth grade and about the only girls who talked to me without making fun of me.

They had told me to sit at their table at lunch, but I couldn't find them.

It felt like I had been walking around the lunchroom in circles for half hour, when I finally found them.

Then were sitting close to the back of the lunchroom at a long table that looked like it had about fourteen chairs. Six of them were already taken up and as I sat down next to Nici, only seven remained.

All my friends from nineth grade were sitting there smiling at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Rebeca, you leave our school a nerdy shy girl and come back a year later looking hot, and you expect us not to stare!?" Blair says.

I smile, "Well, look at you guys, I mean you've changed a lot too."

"Yeah, but, Rebeca, you don't even look like your old self, I mean even your eyes have changed color." Megan says.

I shrug, not really wanting to talk about it anymore. I mean, what if they know and they just don't want to tell me they know what happened over the past year.

I take a deep breath. 'Not possible, I mean how could they know?' I say to myself.

I relax a little more. "I guess it's just that I got older."

They nod and change the subject, "So, I herd Mr. Jock saw you in history today and he was speechless." Jade says.

"Yeah and that you caused a little trouble in happy couple land." Kiara says grinning.

"I didn't know Marcus had a girlfriend." I say confused.

"No, not Marcus, Ben." Kiara says.

I try and remember Ben. Then I remember, he was the dark haired boy with bright green eyes sitting next Marcus.

"Well, I didn't mean to, who's he dating?" I asked.

"Devon Haggarty." Sierra answers.

"No way." I say.

Devon Haggarty is the biggest b*tch you'll ever meet. She was one of the main girls that made fun of me all through nineth grade.

"Don't look now, but here she comes." Nici mutters.

I stay look at Sierra as she pretends to look at me, but she's really look towards Devon.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Devon asks grinning.

"I was just wondering the same thing, except mine went a little more like this," Jade began.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the wicked b*tch of the west." Sierra finished.

I could from giggling, but I covered it put with my hand so it came out more of a cough.

Devon narrowed her eyes and looked at me, "What's your problem, Frizzy?"

Frizzy was of my nicknames because my hair would never go down, it would stick out every which way and it would look like an afro.

"Well, your boyfriend didn't think she had a problem this morning when he was all over her." Madesyn says grinning.

I look over at her in shock. Ben was not all over me, I mean, I noticed him checking me out, but he didn't even talk to me, let alone was he all over me.

"Ooo! Your so lucky I have better things to do then punch you in the face, Derwen!" She angerly said.

"What ever." I say as I sit back down. She groans angerly and then stomps off, her crew of wanna be Devon's behind her.

"Like she'll do anything to you, Rebeca." Jade laughs.

"Yeah, She wouldn't hurt a fly, even if she could catch it." Nici smiles, rolling her eyes.

The bell soon rings and we go our serpate ways toward our classes. My next class is math in room D236, but I can't find it. I'm walking through the halls way pass the time I'm suppose to be in class looking for the room.

I sigh in frustration and then lean against the wall. I look at my sheducle again. 'Yup, room D236, but where is it?' I say to myself.

"You look lost." I hear someone say.

I turn my head to see Marcus coming down the hall.

"Nope, just decided I would skip class on my first day." I say sarcastly.

He rolls his eyes, "What room?"

"D236." I answer.

"Okay, Follow me." He says as he starts walking.

I roll my eyes and sigh. i begin to follow him, it's probably the only way to get to class anyway. "You don't have a class to go to?" I ask.

He nods, "Yup and it's the same one your going to."

I roll my eyes and just follow him. "So, what happened to you?" He asks.

"What do you mean?" I answer with a question.

"I mean, what happened to Rebeca Derwen, nineth grade dweeb?" He says laughing.

"I don't know, I guess she grew up." I say.

He smiles and turns around to face me, but I'm not expecting it so I bump into him. He looks down at me and I look up at him.

"So, this friday, there's a party and I was wondering if you're going." He says.

"Probably not." I answer walking around him and then I remember I don't know where I'm going so I turn around again.

"Come on, I don't want to be any later than I already am." I say.

He sighs and then leads the way to math. Once we get there we walk in at the same time and everyone starts laughing.

I feel my cheeks begin to burn up and then I hear someone say, "Wonder what they were skipping class for."

I want to die at that every moment. We take our seats and the whole rest of the class you can hear people whispering about me and Marcus. "I wonder what's going on between them two." or "Wow, who'd a thought Marcus and the nerd would hook up."

I wanted to kill myself, but I didn't, of course.

I just wanted the class to end, but once it did. I really wished it hadn't...
