The bustling halls of Peach Creek High were crowded and loud, an absolute nightmare for Eddward Vincent, a lanky and anxious sixteen year old. Edd was amazingly intellectual, for this he seemed to have won himself an unwanted array of names.

"Out of the way, nerd!"
"Watch it dork!"

Jocks and popular girls in there morning rush would retract and avoid a nerd like him, recoiling as if burnt if they had even so much as brushed shoulders. But today, things seemed to be... Better.

Today, Edd entered school with a pale blue sweater and black skinny jeans, paired with white converse and his usual hat that drooped over the back of his head. He approached his locker gingerly, studying his lock and avoiding eye contact. He was safe today, no one seemed to hate him like they did other days.

"Hey! Double Dee!" A familiar voice cried as a hand clapped down on his shoulder, his blue eyes darted cautiously towards Eddy. He was still short and seemed to give off a sketchy vibe, but the other two Eds knew better. He was practically harmless after he gave up scheming last year.

"Good morning, Eddy, Ed." He smiled kindly, looking behind him at the tallest of the trio. Ed wasn't the smartest, but he certainly was still as strong and loyal as always. He smiled widely and began telling Edd of all the benefits of gravy while he collected his stuff from his locker.

Unfortunately, the... Interesting conversation was cut short when he got a jab to the side from Eddy. "Hey, don't look now but the brainless bunch are walking through the hall. You've had a good week so we'll split, see ya at lunch." Edd sighed and smiled as his friends threaded through crowds and out of sight, focusing back on gathering papers and organized notes as the football team passed, led by their captain Kevin Barr.

Popularity, football and parties. Those were the words that came to mind when anyone at Peach Creek mentioned Kevin Barr. He was amazing at football and fit, had his fair share of girls yet always seemed to steer away from relationships. He stuck with the football team and his closest friends, Nat and Nazz.

Nat was exciting and loud, confident and open about his sexuality. He'd occasionally get on Kevin's nerves, but would also be unrelentingly loyal. Nazz was chill and always had his back, which was why the two of them were the only people in the world who knew he was bisexual.

"Listen, Kevin," Nat smirked slyly, arm over the others shoulder as he steered him through the crowd. "All you gotta do is man the fuck up and actually meet the girl. She's great!" The teal haired make was attempting to, once again, fit Kevin with a girl.

"Not interested." He responded, pulling away from Nat and looking to the blonde on his left for help.

"Don't look at me, dude, I honestly think it'd help." She laughed, flipping her hair over her shoulder. Nazz was attractive, no one could deny, but Kevin saw her as a sister more than anything. She felt the same way, although was occasionally pestered on how they went out for a week in eighth grade.

"I need help with classes, not one night stands." Kevin sighed, running a hand under his hat and through his fiery hair. The group passed a familiar face, Edd. Kevin felt a small stab of guilt as he glanced to the small male. His black hair tucked neatly under a hat and outfit... Pretty charming, he would admit.

Kevin used to bully the Eds after all, he cringed at the memories. Edd hadn't really changed, but he did get more muscle that he had. Now, he was lean and fairly attractive. If he just hung out with the right group, girls would be all over him.

The thought upset Kevin, so he focused back on the conversation around him.

"What if I get a tutor?"

Okay! So, this was a bit of an introduction chapter, explaining a bit about where Kevin and Edd stand in their lives and friend groups. I find Edd to be my favourite character, so you can rest assured that he will go though a lot of heart ache but always have a supportive group behind him.

Anyways, please feel free to suggest changes in my writing or correct any mistakes I made! I hope this turns out alright, I'm hoping to release at least a chapter every day. Should chapters be longer? Shorter?
