All his worries seemed to go away when he was with Tino. Every time Berwald was with him it seemed like he was in a dream. Tino always knew how to make him smile. After another week of stressful work he met up with Tino in their usual spot. A special hill with a nice big tree that always gave them shade. Berwald always liked it there. It was just so soothing especially when Tino was there with him.
It was a nice spring day. The sun was only covered by a few clouds here and there. The two sat down and leaned on the tree's trunk. They looked to the lake where ducks would always swim. They sat there in a comfortable silence, hearing the birds sing their little songs. While Tino looked at the nature around Berwald looked at Tino. He was like an angel to him. Berwald loved everything about the small Finnish man. His smile, his laugh, his beautiful violet eyes just everything.
"Berwald, can I ask you a question?" Tino said as he turned to the taller man. Berwald quickly looked away.
"Hmm?" He let out.
"Wouldn't it be nice if would could go somewhere, where we won't have to worry about anything? Where everything is peaceful and our dreams could come true..." He trailed off.
"Ja, that would be nice.." But I already think I found it and I think it's being here with you. He finished in his thoughts. Then the comfortable silence came back. They eventually started having small conversations here and there. Next thing they knew, the moon and stars were out.
"Ooh, look a rainbow!" the Finnish man pointed to the sky."Maybe the place I would love to go is somewhere over a rainbow."
"Ber, look a shooting star!" the smaller name pointed at the sky. Indeed there was a small star falling from the sky. "Make a wish!" Tino then closed his eyes. Berwald didn't make a wish because too him, his wish had already come true. Soon the start disappeared and Tino opened his eyes once more. "So what did you wish for?"
"Nothing." The Swede answered.
"Why nothing?"
"Because everything I could wish for already came true." Berwald answered a moment later.
"I wished to go somewhere peaceful and nice." Tino paused for a moment, "What came true for you?" Berwald stayed silent instead he did something that he didn't think he'd ever do. Slowly, he planted his lips onto Tino's. Tino tensed up for a brief second but then kissed back. The taller man eventually pulled away.
"You." He simply said. Tino smiled at that. Together they leaned on the tree looking up at the stars. Tino laying his head on Berwalds' shoulder.
"Do you think we'll be able to go somewhere nice?"
"Ja, somewhere over the rainbow." Tino giggled at the Swede's cheesy line. Yet he couldn't help but smile.
"That seems nice, somewhere over the rainbow."
