Tugging My Heart Strings (One-Shot)

Start from the beginning

Looks like I don't have a choice, huh? So I just quickly took a bath and just brush my teeth , just as I was told. Sigh. I wanna go back to sleep.

"Ches, done!"I shouted at the door.

As I stared at the door for a minute, suddenly a hand popped out carrying my jeans, a plaid t-shirt and an underwear. " Here, your clothes ".

"Ummm... Are we going somewhere? That is my casual outfit." I calmly asked. Not another shopping emergency!

" We're going somewhere all right. But it's not what you think it is". She replied behind the door. I guess, I can trust this girls' word. Anything is fine, as long as it's not going shopping.

"Fine fine". I quickly grabbed the clothes from her hand, closed back the door then changed to the clothes she gave me. We quickly went to the door, grabbed my sneakers then on we go.

As we went outside, I realized how long it has been since I come out of my house, maybe a week or so? I followed her in every direction she took, then after awhile of walking we came to a halt. I stared at the sign of the shop 'Coffee Stars'. What a weird name for a coffee shop.

We walked inside and sit at a table for two just beside the window.

"So my treat, what do you want to have?" Cheska asked as she searched for her wallet in her hand bag.

"Blue-berry cheese cake please" I replied as I stared at the busy street outside.

"Ok, got it!"She then went to the counter to order. She may take awhile there though, there's a line that she will need to wait to.

I scanned the indoor of the coffee shop. The inside is pretty picturesque and it can be instagrammable. The decoration looks nice. Paper swans are being hang in the ceiling. Framed quotes is the walls.

But what caught my eye the most is the little stage in the opposite corner near the counter. There is a microphone put in a stand, a beat box and an acoustic guitar.

It reminds me of those times , when I can freely hold the guitar and sing a song or two. But after THAT incident, I can't even hold the guitar without intensely shaking and sweating. It's like my anxiety and fear just kicks in. That's why I've never dared again.

"Aiz.. Psst, Aiz!?" And I snapped back to reality. " Huh, what?"

" You've been staring at that small stage over there, sooo? " As she sat down at the chair across me with her latte , and handing me my cheese cake.

"So What?" I asked her, still not getting her.

"You wanna strum that guitar there, don't you?" She asked eyeing the guitar, then looked at me again .

"No! You know what happened the last time I ALMOST performed in a crowd, did you?" I said to her slicing a piece of my cake.
