Chapter 1 (My mate)

This is such an uncomfortable cloak, shouldn't have worn it, shouldn't have come either. I guess I guess I can't hide it forever, I have tried but I think they all deserve to know that I'm still here. I thought to myself before putting the hood over my head and knocking on the door.

I lowered my head as I heard someone turn the handle, and as the door opened I winnowed inside, in the centre of people talking. I looked around still with my head down, Cassian, Amren, Morrigan, Rhys and...Lucien? Than three girls. When I turned to the door and I saw Azriel closing the door and I let out a little gasp. When I turned back to everyone, all I face were blank and worried faces staring at me. Then I watched Rhys stand form his seat next to his High Lady.

"Hello there, could you please tell us who you are and we can try and help you with whatever you need." He said softly as I shook my head and turned away from him and walked to the rooms before hearing a gasp out of one of them and hearing one of High Lady's sisters whisper to another. "She has red hair."

I made sure my hood was before I sprinted to the other end of the house and soon stopped and turned too them all, the inner circle, sisters and Lucien. "Who are you." Cass growled before I heard a thump and Rhys was on his knees. Than Lucien, Amren, Cass and Mor.

"No," I looked up at Azriel that had a shocked face, the same one I saw the day I left. "You're dead." He said softly again as I took off my hood and my long red hair waved with the speed of the hood. "Azriel." Rhys said before he was bowing to me and the girls just stared at me. "Feyre-" "Feyre, don't do what he says." I stared at Rhys. "Get off your knees, all of you." I growled and soon they all did beside Azriel.

"Azriel get up." I demanded and he didn't move. "Where have you been?" He replied, his voice breaking in emotions I no longer feel. "You have been gone for over three (3) hundred years." He lifted his head and he looked angry. "You said nothing, and just let us. DO you even know what has been happening here the last three (3) hundred years since you were home."

I nodded my head. "Yes, I know what has been happening for the past three hundred years-" Az cut me off.

"Then what happened half a year ago?" He questioned getting closer to my face. "You were at war with the King of Hybern." I sighed lowering my head. "And do you know what has happened to these girls? Do you even know their names?!" He said again in anger and I nodded "Nesta, Elain and Feyre. Feyre is High Lady and Nesta is Cass's mate as well as Elain is Lucien's mate." I stared deep into his eyes as he did to me.

But only with hate and anger.

"You know what us five have been through with out you? All of Prythian?" I nodded again

"You are our Queen, you're meant to protect us!" I than retaliated and pushed him away.

"Back Off!" I shouted at him both mentally and physically and he stared at me with wide eyes. "You...You're my..." "Yes I am your mate-" "-Then why have you not spoken back to me in the last three (3) hundred years?" He asked as I let out a long sigh.

"Because I wanted you to get over me, I wanted you all to think I was dead" Cass asked "Then why return?" I looked up to him. "Because I miss Prythian, the Night Court, Valaris and my friends. I know I'm an idiot for not telling any of you that I left and I-" I stopped breathing as I felt a rush of wind and held tightly by...Azriel.

"I forgive you," I stayed standing still "We all do." I looked at Morrigan that smiled at me as Azriel let me go and I stared up at him. "I don't deserve to be forgiven, I deserved everyone to hate me." I said quietly as I stepped away from them.

"You all have presents in your rooms," I softly smiled. "Hope you had a good birthday Feyre." I smiled a little more still weak as she smiled back "Thank you..." "Cora." I finished her sentence and bowed my head walking up to Rhys and slapping his arm. "Never bow to me again, any of you." I crossed my arm looking at Azriel as he nodded at me.

Lucien looked at me and I stared at him golden eye. "I'm sorry about your eye and I'm sorry about what happened to you three girls." I looked at Nesta. "But you can't tell anyone else I'm back including Tamlin, he would tell everyone." I said quietly looking at Amren. "Maybe we can tell Varian." She nodded at me.

I looked at everyone and tried cheering them up. "How about I cook and the rest of you relax for the day, including the twins if they're here." Elain shook her head. "I let them go for a walk around Velaris." She said as I nodded and winnowed to the kitchen and stared to make them all lunch.

After lunch I started to write a note to everyone here, just to tell them that I shouldn't stay. "What are you doing in here still?" I jumped to Az's voice and quickly shoved the note into my pocket. "Oh, I was just thinking," I tried catching my breath back "Thinking about what?" he asked as I shrugged. "Do I call this home? Should I tell the rest of the High Lords and Viviane or should I let nature do its thing and everyone will find out soon?" I watched him get closer to me and put him arms around my waist as I stared up at him.

"Please don't,"  I said softly "Why?" He asked as I lowered my head and I felt his hand go into my pocket and steal the note. I tried to stop him but he was on the other side of the kitchen with it.

I'm sorry to everyone when you find this, but I can't stay and make you all chase after me and try finding my like you did three (3) hundred years ago. I watch Az as he mental read my note to me. I'm sorry Azriel and to the rest of you, but you know I can't stay here.

When he stopped reading my note he turned to me and tore it. What are you thinking?!" He growled and slowly approached me. I can't stay, you read most of my note. I have other business to attend to. I mentally said calmly to him.

When he was in my face I lowered my head. "I'm sorry Az" I said softly before winnowing away.

I ended up at Sidra River and before I knew it I wasn't alone. Az had gripped my arms when I winnowed and he came with me. "You aren't leaving me again." He frowned and I looked up at him as my face heated. 

"I'm sorry, I just, can't let you see me for who I am now. I will destroy you and the inner circle, and the three sisters." I hugged him tightly and he did back to me.

"I understand everything has changed, but you can't run away. Come back to the House Of Wind with me. Please." I didn't respond "I will bow to you everyday, everytime-" "Fine, just...shut up" I said softly as we let go and I saw him smile.

"Cherry." He tested me and I punched his arm softly "Berry." I watched him laugh. "As long as you remember our names I'm fine." I weakly smiled as he kissed me cheek.

Than I remembered. I can't show him my wings.

They're destroyed.
