"I will be back in some weeks."
Linong and the other members
of Nine Percent were going on
a trip to L.A.

Behind their backs the manager
and I planned for me to come
with them. It was a nice idea of the
staff to plan this trip.
They really deserve a break.

At the airport I was disguised as a normal staff member and followed behind them.
The place was filled with fans and also interviewers and reporters.
At the side I  some people hiding their faces with masks and hoodies. I examined them further and saw that they had little metal sticks in their hands. One of them pointed it at Chengcheng and that's when I realized that they were trying to hurt
the boys with laser pointers.

The person under the mask activated the laser, but before they were able to hurt
Chengcheng with it, I jumped in front of him.

I let out a high scream,
because of the burning sensation.
Immediately the body guards took
away the harmful object and
staffs ran to my side.
Unfortunately, my disguise had to
get uncovered.

The first staff member crouched
down next to me and helped me
take off the masks and stuff.
All the members widened their eyes
and also the fans freaked out.

"Chung Caini, are you hurt?"
A staff asked me. I showed hermy wound the laser pointer made.They helped me with a first aid kit and we were escorted into a car in frontof the airport in L.A.

On the ride to our hotel I got bombarded with questions. They were all very worried, but they were also happy about my appearance.

"Caini, I am so sorry! You got hurt, because you protected me from my haters.."
"No, don't be. I'm glad I was able to help.
Also Linong, could you please stop starring at me like that?" I laughed a bit.
He looked away shyly and Zhangjing nudged his side and whispered to him.
"Just do it.. you've been waiting."

Suddenly Linong went onto the free space next to me and hugged me.
He put his head in my neck.
"Just let me do this for now. I missed you a lot. I'm sorry."
We stayed like that for the rest of the ride and I slowly patted his head and played with his soft hair. Slowly, he fell asleep in my arms. I wish I was able to hold him longer. I wanted him to stay by my side. I wanted to protect him. I continued to listen to his steady breath, until I fell asleep myself.
