"Stay here, and never leave. You are a freak. Never forget that. Nobody will ever love you. The best thing you could ever offer the world is to stay here and rot away. Understood?"
That was that last thing my parents told me. Well, my mom. My dad was sitting in the car. They drove me far away from the city; in the middle of the woods! Just to abandon me.
I knew I should try and survive; so that's what I did. I've been eating leafs and berries, praying they wouldn't kill me in a sudden and painful way. I've made it this long so I think I've been doing pretty good so far. The stream I found is also relatively clean so that helps... But I wanna go home.
Even if my parents yell and hit me. Even if I've been eating better out here than I ever did with them. Even if my life expectancy will drop if I return. I just wanna go home.
I sigh and sit down in the small clearing I found while surviving out in the woods, miles and miles away from any town. The woods that trap me. The woods I can't seem to find my way out of. The woods... I'm lost in.
I begin to make a flower crown, a skill my aunt taught me. She was always really sweet to me. I weaved it with the utmost care, making sure the small white and purple flowers faced the right way. The flower crown ended up as a flower necklace because I made it too big. Oops.
I was about to put it on when an earth shaking bang startled me. "ROOOOOAAAAARRRRRR!!!!"
I yelped in fear as a green angry monster tore its way towards me. Throwing trees!!! I backed into a tree and tucked my face in my knees, covering my head with my arms and hands. I shook with sobs, the monster reminding me of my parents.
I felt and heard it getting closer and my instincts kicked in. "I'm sorry!" I sobbed. "I'm sorry! Please don't hit me!!" I kept repeating it over and over again, not knowing what else to do. The shaking stopped and the growls and snarls silenced but I persisted. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Please."
I felt hot air blow on me and let out a tiny scream, looking up at the monsters big, green eyes.
He had a troubled look on his face. Huffing again his hot breath blew my hair out of my face. I sniffled and whimpered, "I'm sorry. Please don't hurt me."
The monster snorted, and roughly sat down. Seeming to examine me, he poked my side. I whimpered at the contact, the bruise there not fully healed. "Tiny human... hurt?" Came his rough, broken question.
It took me a minute to process but I got there. "Y-ya. My uh, my daddy kicked me a while ago. He-he s-said I was-was an em-em-embarrassment." I hiccuped the whole way through, trying to calm my breathing down.
He huffed, "Bad man no hurt. Hulk protect." He puffed his chest out and let loose a low growl.
"R-really?" He nodded. "M-my names Allison. Is-is Hulk your name?"
He grunted, "Me Hulk."
I nodded and shifted, getting more comfy now knowing I could trust this... man. "Hulk, can... can I come with you? If you leave? Mommy and Daddy left me here two weeks ago and-and I'm scared."
Hulk huffed again, he seems to do that a lot. "Hulk protect tiny human. Tiny human must stay with Hulk."
I smiled, "Thank you Hulk." I spotted the flower necklace next to Hulk so I crawled over and picked it up. "Hey, lean down real quick."
He gave me a look, as if he's not sure if he should do it; but ended up doing it anyways. I quickly placed the flower neacklace on his head, making it a flower crown. I giggled, "There!" He sat up again and gave me a questioning look causing me to giggle more. "You look silly!" I fell to the side in laughter.
Hulk just huffed and placed his chin in his hand, playfully glaring down at me. "Tiny human looks more silly than Hulk."
DONE! ^w^
