I grimaced, remembering the fallen angel. My hunch was correct on what he was. "I don't know. If it's OK, what's his name? And what was that pin he was trying to use on me?"
"I can only tell you his name. You'll have to ask someone else about the pin. I'm not as involved in the different types of psychs. His name's Itsuki Haruka. He's one of many fallen angels working under another. That's all I can tell you. But, your clothes are on the chair right there and you can take a shower or whatever and then I can take you over to Sanae's if you want," he offered. I nodded and he stood up to leave but before he left the room he looked at me.
"Oh, and by the way, I only just noticed this but the pin that has the green streaks through it is a healing psych. It should fully heal your leg and any other small injuries you have. And while it should heal your wrist all the way, I would keep your cast on for a week just in case. You never know."
He finally left and I mentally slapped myself at how stupid I was. Of course the pin that's green is going to heal me. And while I hate to be ungrateful for his hospitality, couldn't he have healed me with it while I was unconscious? And if some of my injuries are healed while others aren't then did that mean that the pin didn't work all the way? Or could he not use psychs like those?
All these questions were making my head hurt and I ran my finger over the green pin and instant felt comfort cloak my body in warmth much like a blanket as all of my injuries began to close and the pain gradually disappeared. I stood up and sighed in relief as there was no pain and grabbed my clothes from the chair and made my way over to the bathroom.
I recognized WildKat the instant I walked up to it. There was a certain air around it that gave it a sense of comfort and belonging almost. Tadashi did end up accompanying me here to guide me from his workplace but left as I placed my hand on the doorknob, saying he had other things to do. I opened the door and was met with the sweet aroma of coffee beans. The bell on the door chimed and I walked in and found it completely empty, leaving a dead silence in the cafe. A small part of me wished that Tadashi had chosen to stay to keep me company, but at the same time, he was still a complete stranger to me. I wonder what compelled him to take me in instead of leaving me where I was.
I walked up to the counter and looked around.
"Hello? Is anyone here? Mr. Hanekoma?" I called out.
"Yes! I'll be out in just a moment!" Mr. Hanekoma shouted from another room in the cafe. I took a seat at the counter at one of the tall stools and spun myself back and forth lightly in it as I clasped my hands together, suddenly becoming very nervous. I had only come here once with Neku and his friends and I only knew Mr. Hanekoma through the Game. I pat my pocket, looking for my phone and then remembered that I didn't have it, causing a frown to appear on my face. Mr. Hanekoma had come out of a room in the back and smiled once he saw me.
"Hey kiddo. (Y/n), was it?" I nodded. "I thought so. What's with the frown?"
Mr. Hanekoma went behind the counter and leaned against it.
"I. . . I don't even know where to begin. So much has happened and it's a lot to take in. There's just so much that I don't know and it's frustrating," I said.
"So, what's got you down?" he asked again. I sighed.
"I'm sure you've already heard about what happened at the Udagawa Backstreets. That entire thing. . . I don't even know what to make of it. But that fallen angel guy, Itsuki Haruka was there and he did a number on all of us. Oh, and he took my phone which isn't good. But do you happen to have a brother named Tadashi Hanekoma?" I asked.
Mr. Hanekoma smiled. "I do. Let me guess, he was the one that found you."
"Yeah. . . You both share that trait of just knowing things without being told. It's a little creepy to be honest."
He let out a laugh. "So we've been told. Have you checked in on the Composer yet?"
My eyes widened as I slapped a hand over my face. "Oh my god! How could I be so stupid?! No! I haven't! I really. . . I really need to go and find him! How did that not even cross my mind?! That should've been the first thing I did. Man, I really suck at this job. After your brother sent me here I just kind of spaced it. Ugh, I'm sorry, but I really need to go and find him."
"I understand. Find me later once everything's situated and calmed down and then we'll talk. How 'bout that?"
I nodded and stood up from the chair, bolting out the door. "OK! Thanks again!"
I ran through the streets of Shibuya, slightly pushing past people as I breathed heavily. How did checking in on Joshua not even cross my mind? It should've been the first thing I did but it's as if I completely forgot about Joshua completely. As if I lost my memories of him. I'm sure he'll be understanding about it with his personality. Maybe he'll even have some answers if I can get any out of him. And Neku. Oh my god. I didn't even think about him. I can't imagine how he's been after that entire situation happened. I shook my head and pressed onward.
I would talk with Mr. Hanekoma later when I had the time but right now, I needed to find Joshua and report back to him.
