It's been a year since Augustus Waters, the love of my life, passed away. I'll never forget my first love. The way he held me tight, and kissed my lips. I love him. Always have. Always will.

I'm heading over to Issac's house (still single and blind as ever).

"Honey! Eat some lunch before you go!" Yells my mom.

"Mom," I reply "I am not hungry. I just want to go to Issac's house."

"Okay," she says.

As I pull up to his drive way, I see something new. A car?

"Hey Issac!"

"Hi Hazel," he replies. "I bet you're wondering what this car is here for."

"Maybe," I respond.

"Well since you've been such a good friend to me, I got you a new car since yours is getting old."

"Oh my god!!!" I scream. I'm so happy!

"Why'd you do this Issac?"

"Because I've been thinking. I can't see, so I can't drive. I have a car, and I never use it. So, might as well give it to my best friend!"

I'm speechless. "It's. Amazing!"

"You're welcome," he says smiling.

I run over to him and hug him. I wonder why he's still single. I mean he's attractive, funny, kind, and respectful. I don't know.

"Let's go inside," he says

We walk in his house, and I hear someone talking. I don't know who.

"So, how's the new car, Hazel?" his mother asks.

"Amazing. Thank you so much," I reply

"No problem. Anything for you Hazel,"

Anything for me? What does that mean?

"Let's go downstairs," I suggest.

"Okay,"

I help Issac down the stairs and to the couch. While we're talking, I notice how his hair is fixed exceptionally well. Did he do that for me?

"You're hair looks nice, Issac," I say.

"Thanks. I spent a little extra time fixing it today,"

I want to ask why, but that seems rude.

We play video games for about an hour or so and I head home. I take a shower and get into bed. I lay there thinking about Issac.

"Did he get all fixed up for me?" I think.

I really hope the best friend of my dead boyfriend doesn't have a crush on me. I fall asleep while I'm thinking about what happened today.
