Chapter 11: Double Date

I reciprocate the smile but feel sort of warm inside with the way Chloe looked at me. She's so stunning, you'd never be able to tell we were friends, we're two totally different people. That smile was something else though, I'd never seen her smile like that before, it was warm and friendly yet also grateful and innocent with a major dash of adorable, I'd kill to see it one more time. She wraps the sleeves of my jacket around herself and I turn away as I shiver slightly, I don't want her to know that I am actually freezing my butt off because then she'll hand me back the jacket, I just didn't want her being cold I could care less how I'm feeling right now. I just want Chloe to be happy.

I can feel my teeth start to chatter a little and I turn away from Chloe so that she doesn't notice as I grit my teeth together to try and stop the noise from escaping. "Becs? You okay?" She asks slightly worried, I nod still turned away and make up the first excuse to her that I'm nervous for our double date. "Beca Mitchell?! Nervous?!"

I turn back to her quickly and roll my eyes to which she smiles warmly, seemingly knowing that I'm okay now. She wraps an arm around me and rubs my shoulder playfully before I push her away again and roll my eyes. "Yeah Red, I'm nervous. Leila is just so attractive and after everything that happened with Crystal... I don't wanna mess it up alright? I'm not big on commitment so I'm not thinking about the future or anything like that, she's a good girl yanno? I just don't want to screw it up."

For something that was supposed to be a lie and an excuse as to what was wrong with me it was sure as hell believable even I myself was like woah maybe I actually am nervous. Perhaps it was my subconscious? I don't know but Chloe seemed to believe it anyways as she smothers me in a tight hug. "Oof! Okay Red that's enough hugging!" I hear her whisper an apologetic sorry as she giggles against my ear which sends tingles down my spine. We part a little and both of us make brief eye contact, I never noticed how Chloe has a little sparkle in her eyes, it might just be the way the light is catching her right now but I gotta say Megan is one lucky girl!

"What's wrong?" She suddenly asks her voice soft as a little smile peers onto her face and she tucks a strand of stray red hair behind her ear. I shake my head still staring at her and kept help but smile back a little. "Nothing Chlo, you're just... so fucking beautiful!" The redhead arches an eyebrow at me and smirks to herself before resting her hand on my thigh and leaning close to me. "Yanno Beca for a second there it seemed like you might have a small crush on little old me." She winks causing me to blush at the sudden and impossible remark and I shake my head at her. "You wish Beale. I'll be focusing on my date tonight, you can try focus on yours but we both know those bright blue eyes will glance at my ass at some point!"

"And yours won't do the same to mine?" She quips back and I go to say something but purse my lips because well it's true. I've looked at Beale's ass many a time and it is a sight to behold and worship. "BECA!" She shouts as she smacks my arm playfully, I hold my hands up in defense. "What? It's a good booty Beale! And it's not like you haven't looked at mine before, friends can admire each other right?"

"I admire yours, but I think you more so perv on mine!" She winks at me and I shrug my shoulders again which earns me another playful nudge from her. We see two headlights heading toward us and soon realize it's the taxi that Chloe called not too long ago. "To be continued Red!" "To be continued Mitchell!" Chloe exclaims while putting both hands and her purse on her ass while she walks in front of me towards the taxi to stop me looking at it. "No fun Beale!"

"Just get in the taxi Beca."

CHLOE'S POV

Beca and I arrive at the diner with our arms linked as we stop at the little desk at the front so we can be directed towards our table. I begin to look around the diner and spot Leila and Megan over at a little booth in the corner of the diner, the two seem to be having a great time. Leila spots us and waves to which Beca waves back blushing a little, Megan smiles at me blushing a little to which I wave at her but I notice her eyes drop and she looks down at her hands somewhat upset.
