Winter Wonder || Yoongi Hybrid FF

Chapter 1

"What are you doing? He's cheating on you!" I yell at the girl in the K-drama. I groan and throw a piece of popcorn at the TV when she kisses the cheater. My phone rings and I look at the caller ID to see it's my mom. " Hey Eomma!"

Silence on the other end of the phone makes me check to make sure I didn't accidentally hang up.

"You're watching another drama?!" She huffs

"What else am I supposed to do? Go outside and freeze my butt off? The only other thing to do is play on the xbox and eat."

"Do you have those winter clothes I sent you?"

"Yeah."

"Good, Put them on and go outside!" She says.

"But-"

"NO!" She interrupts. "You need more fresh air!"

"Fine!" I say with a groan of defeat. I end the call and pause the drama. I put my popcorn on the coffee table and and shove the phone in my pocket. I walk to my room and open the closet. My mom sent me a thick baby blue jackets with a black scarf, mittens, cap and, boots. I put them on and walk into the kitchen. I grab some chips and walk head for the door. I exit the house and lock the door behind me. The whole neighborhood was decked in a thick white blanket of snow, which seemed to muffle all sound. My only options were to either go to the park, or head into town. I open the bag of chips and walk to the park I go  when I want to study. There were swings and a slide with your typical park structures on one side. The other side was a frozen over pond where the ducks swim in the summer, and a large open field.There are a few families building snowmen and having snowball fights.

"Y/N! Y/N!"

I look and see my friend Jimin waving me over from our group of friends. I walk over and greet Namjoon, Jin, Hoseok, and Taehyung.

"Where is Jungkook?"I ask them as I look around.

"Jungkook couldn't come today" Namjoon says with a shrugs.

"Anyways, we were about to start a snow fort fight." Jimin says, pointing to two walls of snow short distances from each other. "Wanna join us?"

"Sure, I have nothing better to do!" I say as I put my mittens on. Jimin grins and takes a few steps back.

"Y/N, Namjoon and Taehyung are on my team!" He yells and runs to the fort. The called ones and I run to a fort and duck behind it. He turns to us with his game face on. "Okay, Y/N, you'll be a thrower, you have the best aim. Tae, you'll make the balls, and Namjoon, you'll be a distraction." We wait for him to continue, but after he doesn't say anymore, Namjoon raises his eyebrow.

"And what are you doing?" Jimin lean back against the wall and grins cheekily.

"I'll coach you guys!"

"Gee thanks!" I say with an eye roll. Namjoon peeks over the fort and ducks immediately, a snowball whizzing past his head.

"Oh, it's on!" He growls. He turns to us. "Taehyung, get going! Y/N Get against the wall and wait for the snowballs to be passed to you." He turns to Jimin. "Make yourself useful and pass the balls to Y/N!" Jimin grins and shrugs. Namjoon peeks over the fort again and ducks down. "Alright, let's go!" He says, clapping his hands. I scoot up to the wall and peek over. Jin peeks over the other fort and ducks down.

"Y/N!" I turn to Jimin and grab two snowballs. I pop my head up and look at Jin's fort. They were out of sight, probably planning a strategy as well. I motion for Namjoon to come up and point at the fort.

"Time for you to make the distraction! Take some snowballs and hide on the other side of the wall. When I give you the signal, throw them over the wall at them and zigzag back." Taehyung chuckles.

" Maybe you should be the coach!" I shake my head and chuckle. Namjoon grabs five snowballs and sneaks over to the other fort. He drops one and is about to pick it up when a gloved hand appears on the other fort. He dives down in front of the wall just as Hoseok peeks over. I take a snowball and aim for his face. His eyes widen and he says something. Jin pops up swiftly and throws a wild ball. I throw mine at it and watch them collide and explode.

"Dang!" Namjoon whispers. Hoseok and Jin hear it and peek over the wall. Namjoon freezes before smashing the snowballs on their faces and running back to us. He dives over the wall as Hoseok and Jin jump over the wall with armfuls of snowballs and start throwing them at us. At that point, we abandon our plan and jump up and start throwing snowballs in retaliation. I manage to hit Jin in the face before Hoseok throws two snowballs at my face. I go back behind the fort and make a couple more.

"Traitor! Traitor!" I look up and see a smirking Jimin standing over me with two snowballs. I gulp and run into a copse of trees a few meters away. I duck behind a tree and crouch down, hoping he would run pass me. No such luck. He leaps in front of me making me shriek and fall back. He takes aim when something underneath me starts moving and making pitiful noises.
