Author note: Just so you dudes know, there'll be a lot of different fictional places, an odd assortment of ocs, and a couple of fictional species that I made up on the spot. I got all names of people and places and such off of two different fantasy name generators.
Pls, if you have any sort of feedback, tell me. I wanna know, even if it's negative.

The planet Blikkeghar was a strange, beautiful place full of both old magic and modern technology. As a result, the towns, cities, villages and such that inhabited the planet were all extremely diverse in the sense that some were more "modern", some were more "medieval", and some were somewhere in between.
The small village of Crarithra was one of the more "medieval" type villages, its stone huts all lacking things like internet and indoor plumbing.
Because of its small size, everyone in Crarithra knew everyone else. Now, although not everyone got along that well, they all at the very least were friendly enough to each other's faces. Well, they were like this with everyone but one person.
The poor soul who was shunned by almost everyone in the village was a young man by the name of Park Jimin. He was by far the most attractive person in the village, with his soft blonde hair (courtesy of some colored hair dye his parents brought back for him from a distant city) and big brown eyes. He was also the sweetest, kindest person in the village, which made the fact that he was ignored by those around him much worse than if he had been a more ill tempered man.
Jimin's parents had been the richest people in all of Crarithra, but rather than spend their wealth on themselves, the money was divided between charity and their research-They were researchers, although what exactly they researched, Jimin had no idea.
So while they may have been the richest, the Park family lived in the shabbiest little hut in the village, not that it mattered much to them. Because they liked the outdoors so much, they would spend weeks on end camping outside together, something the rest of the village found rather odd.
It was for this reason that almost all the other villagers treat him like they did. They liked to stay indoors in their safe, drafty, old huts, and anyone who strayed outside past nightfall was rather insane in their eyes. After all, most of the more... dangerous creatures tended to hunt at night.
Before, Jimin always could count on talking with his parents when they would return from one of their work related trips, but after their mysterious death five years ago the young man was left alone, with no one but the village elder to talk to.
The village elder was a tall, rather buff old man named Rornorah. His long, greying ginger hair was almost always pulled back in a lose ponytail, and although he usually had a rather intimidating expression on his face, Jimin knew that Rornorah was actually a really sweet man.
The elder had led quite an intriguing life in his past. He had told Jimin his story one stormy night a few years ago. His house had started to leak rather badly, and Jimin didn't really want to catch a cold or something from that. So he had to spend the night at another villagers house, and in the morning he would try and fix the roof to the best of his ability. The elder was the only one who would let the young man stay with him overnight.
Rornorah had been born in the far northern city of Strofulyn, where his family had lived for decades until they were forced to move. They came to Crarithra when Rornorah was five, and he lived there with the rest of his family, until he decided to leave when he was eighteen.
When Jimin asked him why he had left, he had replied with "It was time for me to start a new chapter of my life, dear boy." and ruffled the boys then pink hair (after discovering what hair dye was, Jimin usually had rather bright hair. It had been pink for the longest time until he decided to go blonde.)
So the then eighteen year old Rornorah lived in a far off city for a while, but when it started to be taken over by technology he decided to leave. He always hated technology with a burning passion. It had, after all, been part of the reason his family had to leave their original home.
He wandered around the planet for a few years, drifting from place to place, before eventually coming back to Crarithra, where he figured he would spend the rest of his days. At least it was a quiet little town, free from any sort of technology.
The elder had taken a liking to the pretty orphaned boy, so he always took the time out of his day to talk with him. It definitely made things seem much better, having someone to talk to.
Although this was definitely not the life Jimin thought he would have, he didn't want to trade it for anything in the world. Things may have been pretty bad for him, but at least Jimin was alive and healthy, so he wasn't going to spend his days complaining and wishing his life was different.

Something was off.
Jimin wasn't quite sure what exactly was wrong, but he could tell that something was different this morning.
Slowly, carefully in case something was going to jump out at him, Jimin opened his eyes. What he saw made him bolt upright in shock.
This was not his shabby little hut.
The young man was in a large cage that took up half the dark, slightly damp room he was now in. Jimin couldn't see much in the dim light, but from what he could see the other side of the room held an odd assortment of tools and an old wooden chair covered in chains.
The room itself was eerily silent, silent to the point that it felt as if any and every sound was being sucked away. Jimin felt as if he couldn't breathe, which might have been what caused him to start to panic.
His heart pounding loudly in his ears, Jimin stood up and walked in a slow circle around the cage, pacing around and around as if it would calm him down.
A cracking noise from under his feet made the young man pause his pacing, and he slowly looked down, unsure if he really wanted to see what exactly made that noise.
A now broken bird skull grinned up at Jimin's horrified face.
"Oh gods," he whispered, backing away and stepping on who knows what else in the process. "Where am I?"

Jimin was starting to feel as if he was going insane.
From what he could tell, a few hours had passed since he had woken up in this godsforsaken cage, and he was staring to get a little hungry.
There was a small hunk of bread in his pocket, but he knew for a fact that that was from a few days ago, and he would rather save it just in case he was going to need it later.
That cracked bird skull seemed to be watching him no matter where he would turn, so  Jimin had gingerly kicked it into a corner-whispering apologies to any and every god he could think of-and as an added precaution he kept his back facing it so he wouldn't have to see that grinning face any more.
The young man had never been this scared in his life. The one time that had probably come close was when he met a rabid Forras-a creature that had evolved from an ancient species called a "werewolf", they could change their shape from human to animal whenever they wanted. Unlike the werewolf, the Forras weren't just a bunch of wolves, but they were any type of animal. Another thing that separated them from their ancestors was the fact that they remained completely in control whether in human or animal form.
The one he had run into had been a young rat, its large white eyes still haunting his nightmares to this day. It had been curled up in a small heap nearby this tree that Jimin rather liked to play under, and his kind nature had made him go over to to it to see if it was all right.
The creature attacked him as soon as he got close to it, its claws mere inches from his face before his father came to his rescue.
This time, unlike with that Rat, Jimin wasn't going to be saved. He didn't think so at least.
So it was a shock when the wall behind him came crumbling down, and a handsome young man stood grinning in the ruins.
"You wanna get out of here?"
