TRAILER TIPS

Requested by fatima_sk1

Hiya! Here's some terrible trailer tips which will hopefully help you to create more professional trailers. However, please bear in mind I'm definitely not an expert. I'm not good at editing, but I know the basic structure of a trailer and how to make an effective one :)

also a quick update: my dad threw my laptop down the stairs (lmao don't ask), and luckily it still works but I have to focus on exams which means I rarely get the chance to make graphics. Surprise covers and trailers are coming, but I can't guarantee they'll be immediate <33 thanks for all your patience, I honestly love you all <3333

but here's my bby Elijah just bc look at him ;) (looks at raIijah )

01. CLIPS
Clips are so important in the creation of your trailer (obviously)! I usually find mine on YouTube, and then use a YouTube to MP4 converter to get the clips to use in my trailer.

Clips for actors are usually the easiest to find, and the more well known the actor, the more clips there will be, and the quality will be greater. When searching for clips for celebrities I usually search:

- "Eiza Gonzalez clips"

- OR search the TV shows/films your actor is in on Google, their character name and then search, for example "from dusk till dawn trailer" or "Santanico Pandemonium clips."

For non-character clips, such as explosions or shots of a forest (for opening credits as well), search things such as:

- "forest HD"

- "universe HD"

- "stock footage of rose"

- "time lapse of flower blooming" etc

The main point about these is that you look at the similar videos to the side of the video you have collected, and other high quality stock footage will come up.

Other sources of video clips:
- music videos (e.g. For a werewolf book, Out of the Woods by Taylor Swift is really good)
