7 Years Later...

Chapter 7

It’s been seven years and Crater has changed in every way known possible. From the way her hips sway to the flow of her hair in the N.Y. fast pace atmosphere. Must I mention the respect; Crater graduated from NYU top of her class and walked right into the Palms Banners marketing network with a dead on broadcasting addition. Being that she lived in New York on her own without the help of her sister or Nana she learned to stand on her own and allowed her fear to run a race with itself and no longer her. She couldn’t do the fears in New York and she learned that right away with the major universities students. They are the ones who taught her basically everything she needed to know about surviving with dignity and power. She conquered the addition on the spot and had her own show in less than 72 hours. She lived her dream and played all the games, she even had fallen in love. Crater had become your average powerful African American/ Black women. She walked, talked and just essentially was power and attitude. You could only either love or hate her, there was no in between.

Getting aired with her own show as the star was, at the time, completely above her so she turned it into a major franchise of two women living out their journalistic skills. She created the show and got one other costar involved and called it, “The Scoop.” Crater was drawn to Savon’s ambition and visions on life. They had been friends from college and lost track the moment they graduated. Crater only remained affiliated with her during the school year days because she seen her five days a week really had no other choice. Seven was a honey blond, curly headed Creole girl from the Bronx. Her, herself got a full scholarship of study to NYU and jumped at the once in a lifetime opportunity just as Crater had done. They became the best of friends over the years of working with one another. Crater truly trusted her and Seven also trusted her. They both were wounded birds and supported each other in a great way.

Their show aired during the week days at noon and lasted 45 minutes an episode. The show was based on the talk of the latest things happening in America and if it affected our nation, this happening across the world. From serious matters to juicy topics and hot celebrity stars the show centered on it all. They had won many of talk show based awards for their massive views and great fans and audiences. For three years this show has brought them both pain and much deserved glory, Crater has become a true boss lady woman, due to her degree and big time career of course.

Crater strutted from the parking garage where she had just parked her car to the building of, State of The Art Inc. where the show as produced and held. In the thirty floor building Crater practically lived at the top with her own private office and assistants. She greeted everyone with a priceless smile from security guards to some fans until reaching the elevator. She pressed the arrow pointing up on the elevator and glanced at her watch with read: 10:15 AM and continued to wait patiently for the elevator doors to pull open. When the doors finally opened Crater looked up from her phone and smirked at the man getting off. Mr. Terrence Strong! NBA Brooklyn Nets star franchise player. He was the it dude of the NBA all-star squad, tall and the perfect flawless mocha chocolate skin, smooth luscious lips that could melt the back of your neck hairs straight away.

“Maliah” he greeted with a wink.

“Strong!” she replied while entering the elevator and pressing the number 30 and then typing in her four digit passcode. Terrence had turned around and watched her enter. She did a model like end of the runway pose in the center of the elevator and stared at him very seductively while the doors came to a close. When the doors opened for her to exit the elevator she was checking her email and noticed her had over 500 unread emails and needed to read and delete them. She was usually on track with those type of things but have fallen off due to her off duty personal life.
