Chapter 3 - If only I could turn into a fish and swim away down the lake.

'If you get your mouth open like that, I wouldn't be suprised if a billion flies flew in there and you choked to death!' She sneered. I quickly shut my mouth not realising I had it open. Great, she's going to tell everyone in school I copied her outfit and that I was staring at her with my mouth open, ugh.

Sophia laughed. She laughed. I felt like burying myself in a dark hole and never come out ever again.

'Well we should be going!' laughed Sophia grabbing my hand and trailing me towards the side door.

'Where you guys heading? You can't get in that door, it's for guests and VIPs only!' asked Rachel raising an eyebrow.

'Er.. um... we... um...' I stuttered awkwardly avoiding any eye contact.

'Cat got your tongue, Aria?' Rachel said in an overly sarcastic tone.

'Uh....'

'We won meet and greets!' beamed Sophia smiling showing off her perfect white teeth.

'ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS?! I AM SO JEALOUS!' shouted Rachel obviously trying to come off as a big fan of One Direction.

'Your a fan? That's so cool!' gasped Sophia.

That's when I zoned out and began gazing around me. The sky was getting darker now and the sun was setting so it lit up the sky a reddish colour. It's pretty. The light summer breeze was warm but cool as well. Just right.

'Aria? Yo Aria!'

Rachel laughed.

'Uh yeah!' I said in barely a whisper.

'Well Rachel is a huge fan, bigger than you and she wants to know if she could have your meet and greet ticket?' asked Sophia giving me the puppy dog eyes.

'Sure!' I muttered trying to hide the fact I was dissappointed.

'Let's go Rach, bye Aria! See you in the concert!' shouted Sophia as they ran off.

Bye.

I wondered off not knowing where I was going as I was unfamiliar with this place. About a half an hour later I discovered I wandered around the venue a little too far and ended up near a lake leading out to sea. Great, great, great, great, GREAT!

I whipped out my phone and dialled Sophia's number.

'Sophia?' I asked letting out the breath I never knew I was holding in.

'No this is Louanne from One Direction!'

'W-where's uh... Sophia?'

'Well that would be telling, wouldn't it?' I could sense him wink from the end of the phone line. I could vaguely hear screaming in the background as well.

'Well can you put her on the phone? Please?' I breathed rapidly.

'You seem worried, you okay babe?'

'I'm lost, please just put Sophia on!' I was almost crying. It was starting to get dark now.

'Well funny story, she isn't here anymore... she left her phone here by accident so I have no idea where she is!'

I gasped. What am I going to do? I'm lost... by myself in some random place I don't know!

'Hello?'

'Oh, sorry!' Tears were now streaming down my face.

'Where are you?'

'I don't know!' I sobbed. Oh gosh, he now probably thinks I'm a baby.

'Calm down, is there anything near you? Anything identifable, I know it's dark!'

'Um, a lake I think leading out to sea... trees... desserted land I guess!'

'Hmm... well the concert is nearly finished so we'll come looking for you! Don't worry, you'll be fine!'

'Uh, what do you mean the concerts nearly finished? Are you on stage?' I gasped with shock and embarrassment.

'Yes.'

If only I could turn into a fish and swim away down the lake. This cannot get any worse.

'We'll come in a half an hour babe! Stay safe!'

'Er... ok!' I stuttered and hung up.

I took a seat on the edge of the lake as there was a piece of uplifted land in which you could dangle your feet from. I slipped out of my shoes and let my feet free. Theres going to be so many blisters on them in the morning. I dipped my feet into the lake and laughed as the ice cold shivers ran up through my body. It wasn't sore or anything, quite relaxing if I must say.

The sky was fully black now with just the light from the moon shining down. It was so beautiful. I wonder what it would be like to go to the moon. Maybe I could grow taller... a few centimetres would  be useful.
