35 | appointment, sam uley

❝ oh hello there! one of the most lovely couple i've ever met, please take a seat.  ❞ she ushered as she took her seat as well, reading the file she had given by the secretary. she then pushed her glasses back as her gaze drifted to the both of you.

❝ so what's supposed to be the problem, Mrs. Uley? ❞ she asked as you explained further on what was happening for the past few days, she nodded in understanding as she stood up from her seat.

❝ well, how about let's start by x–ray?  ❞

everything continued so fast as she came back with the result in her hand, pushing her glasses back again as she beamed at the couple. looking back at you and your husband as she sat down — trying to calm herself before announcing.

❝ Mrs. Eva Uley and Mr. Sam Uley, congratulations! Mrs. Eva is two and a half weeks pregnant! ❞ the doctor beamed as you looked at sam, worried. what if he's not yet ready for this?

He looked at you and back to the shown results, a grin made it's way on his face as he engulfed your figure with his huge hug. followed by kisses on your skin — you giggled as he then grabbed your waist and hoisted you up.

❝ i can't believe it! we're having a child! ❞

the pack was then called by sam, the second you arrived home everyone was already on the living room. eating and laughing out loud, that was until sam stepped in leaving everyone quiet,

❝ right, so we came from the hospital. ❞ he said, holding your hand with his as he looked at you and gave a small smile.

he then shifted his focus back to them,  ❝ and we just found out that eva here. .  ❞

❝ is pregnant. ❞

it was quiet for a moment until everyone cheered, others fist bumping but leah was the first to come near you with a grin plastered on her face.

❝ congratulations, eva! oh my god i'm so excited to meet the little one! ❞ she said followed by a hug, you thanked her with a soft pat on the back. only leaving when paul came up to you,

he grinned,  ❝ well! actually i was already betting on it so . . WHERE'S MY PAYMENT JARED?! ❞ jared then went beside him with a huff, giving him 20$ as he slouched his shoulders over only receiving a laugh from you.

❝ congrats eva, i'm surely taking care of your child may it be a female or male! ❞ paul said as he bent down to kiss your cheek only to be pushed off by jared who wrapped his arms around you protectively and sent a glare to paul.

he then shifted his attention to you and gave a smile,  ❝ i'm sorry about that, eva. he's being an ass. anyways, congrats luna! and i, sure as hell, would be a better babysitter for your child. i'm not even kidding because i'll be watching over him or her twenty four / seven ! ❞ you laughed and nodded, hugging him as he then leave followed by jacob.

he grinned at you as you did too, doing the first move as you hugged him tight followed by a chuckle. his arms found your waist as he slowly break the hug and bent down, talking to your belly.  ❝ hello there, youngling. please don't make your mommy stressed out okay? take care of her as well, i'll be watching over you. ❞

he then stood up from his position and pecked your cheek which you responded with a giggle, only being engulfed into a tight hug as the three — embry, quil, and seth hugged you.

fake cries from them made you laugh as you flicked their forehead and playfully glared at them.  ❝ eva! i thought we were your children?! ❞ embey cried,

❝ are you going to leave us?! ❞ seth gasped

❝ are you abandoning us?! left us to starvation?! ❞ quil squeaked as all of them ended with yet another round of cries, you laughed as you hugged the three back and step back to sam's embrace.

❝ you just like my cooking, ❞ you stuck your tongue out at them only laughing again because of their reactions and replies which were,

❝ yeah, well, i can't argue to that. ❞ embry said, scratching his neck as quil and seth nodded as well as agreeing together saying,

❝ totally, ❞

you giggled as sam grabbed your hand, tenderly kissing your knuckles as you smiled with his sweet gesture. only to be grabbed by the waist as he silenced the pack,

❝ that's it for the meeting, all of you may return to your work. ❞

❝ but eva's cooking!! ❞ embry begged, each member agreed followed by protests only for you to laugh and for sam to silence them again with a growl.

❝ go to work! ❞ he bellowed, everyone then hurriedly left the pack house. both of you hugging each other and staring at them as they shifted and howled. you sighed in relief – staring at your husband who was already staring back.

❝ i'm excited, ❞

you softly laughed,  ❝ i know ❞

you then broke your hug from him as you went outside the pack house and saw the others who are still about to shift. you felt his presence as he followed behind and hugged you on your back. his hands found its way to your belly,

❝ thank you eva, for giving me a life i have always wanted. ❞
