Chapter 1: Friends

I made a promise to myself never trust him.

Sean unhesitatingly took my bowl of spaghetti. Christjude, somehow, joined the conversation.

"Wag mo naman kunin ung recess ni Zac. Pabayaan mo siyang kainin yan."

I looked at him, and as expected, he's making that smug face again.

He's torturing me.

"Sige na. Kainin mo na yan. Wag mo na pansinin yan." I said to Sean.

Sean then ate my spaghetti, but later on giving me the bowl back.

"No. It's fine. It's your recess anyways." He smiled, but I can tell it's a fake one.

I can tell he was also disgusted by its flavor.

Christjude laughed his ass off looking at our disgusted faces. I knew it.

He made me buy those spaghetti for a reason.

I snatched Sean's bowl of macaroni and have a taste of it.

In my surprise, mas masarap pa sa pasta ko.

"What the hell is this?!" I asked in awe. Ang sarap talaga...

"Mac n' cheese." Sean replied.

Mac n' cheese??? Bakit orange yung colour?

"Mac n' cheese? Tell me why the colour is reddish orange?" I asked.

I'm really puzzled. Why??? Mac n' cheese is supposed to be yellowish because of its "cheese." But why is it orange?

I was surprised by his reply. "Well, the original flavor of mac n' cheese is boring. So, I mixed tomato ketchup with it."

Mac n' cheese n' ketchup? I NEVER thought of that. Honestly, cafeteria ketchup is always the best. Mixing it with another best thing is...

Let's just say even Gordon Ramsay approve.

I grabbed Sean's bowl of mac and devoured everything in it, leaving the bowl empty.

"Hey! What the heck?!" He shouted at me.

I also grabbed Christjude's bowl of mac n' cheese and ran for my dear life.

"WHAT THE FUCK, ZAC?!" They both shouted at me.

I dunno why the hell I did that but their reactions were hilarious AF.

I shouldn't steal but I'm hungry like hell.

I outran them before they can even ketchup (please laugh).

I looked back, and I can see they already gave up chasing me.

But I wasn't careful enough. I was looking back for too long.

I'm such a carefree person. And because of that, I bumped into someone.

We both stumbled onto the ground. I protected whoever that person is by letting my own body land on the ground first with her body on mine.

My back hurts, pero sana hindi siya nasaktan.

The bowl of mac n' cheese landed somewhere else. Luckily hindi malapit sa amin, or else we would need our clothes changed.

"Hey, are you oka—" I wasn't able to continue. Our gaze met, and at that moment, I wasn't able to think clearly.

My heart skipped a beat, my brain won't function properly, and my body was immobilized.

For sure, lahat ng students nakatingin sa amin. I've made a big racket and this is the price I should pay... embarrassment.
