in hindsight, it probably wasn't their brightest idea to write a fake blog post about the end of the world approaching. with jungkook and taehyung's combined bad luck, something would mess up.

they just didn't think it would be this bad.

just eleven hours ago, taehyung and jungkook were sitting at their computer, writing some blog post about 'impending doom' or whatever they thought would get clicks.

"the worse we make this look, the better. besides, it's not like we are going to get more than six views," taehyung reasoned, trying to convince jungkook to make everything seem as fake as possible. of course everything they were writing about was highly unlikely, saying a meteor was going to knock earth away from the sun's orbit, making them fly directly towards saturn's rings, and all of the debris would cause volcanoes to erupt all over the world.

"i don't know taehyung, i know you're gonna say go big or go home, but what if we get sued or something?" jungkook sighed, typing slowly as he toyed with the idea. how much worse could this get?

"add in something about aliens, i don't know. if we get sued you can eat me when the world actually ends," taehyung replied, causing jungkook to roll his eyes and type faster.

little did they know that all chaos would ensue when they awoke.

the blog had almost a million views, their email was flooded with reporters asking for interviews, and jungkook was more than a wee bit pissed.

"what the fuck? why is this even popular? why do we have so many reporters asking for us?" jungkook groaned, tugging at his hair as taehyung turned on the tv.

jungkook sighed, looking back at the tv only to see his own blog post on the screen, the host talking about it, but what she said next was especially intriguing.

"we don't know how the blog post knew before NASA, but almost everything in the blog post has been confirmed as true, save for the bit about aliens. we have not yet received a response from the authors of the post, although the story will keep running, so stay tuned."

and that's how jungkook and taehyung's lives fell apart almost as much as society.
