Pov - Michael
January 12th

“Michael, did you really turn down the emo girl?”
“Yes. Why do you care?” I took a drag off from the cigarette, stopping myself successfully from coughing in Henrietta’s face.
“She’s had a crush on you since like, the beginning of time.” She glared at me, but this was as expected, Henrietta’s stare often came off that way.
“You can’t deny that she was sort of hot though.” Pete butted into the conversation, Firkle nodded.
“You really think I give a shit about what she looked like? Being emo is more conformist than being popular. We’ve been over this.” Everyone went quiet, as usual. I took another drag, I rather enjoyed the feeling of burning in the back of my throat, but the cigarette I held was almost burned out, so I dropped it in the snow and stepped on it just as Pete spoke up again.
“I heard rumor that there’d be new kids this week. At school, I mean.” We all individually got up and started walking towards the closest diner, as we usually did.
“Yeah, so what. Some new conformists, they’ll probably leave by the end of the semester anyways, with all the stupid shit that goes on in this town.” We all sat down and mindlessly skimmed over the menus, it was around mid morning so the menus promoted coffees and breakfast meals. As we were all sitting in silence deciding what we’d get, the bell signifying more consumers entering jingled, and I looked up.
“Pastel goths?” Henrietta was the one to mumble this as the group of people sat down. They all were wearing pastel outfits with black accessories, like satanic necklaces and upside down cross earrings, similar to what we wore.
“Pastel what?” I looked at her, and she tore her eyes away from the table.
“Pastel goths. They’re like us except pastel all over, and they get a bunch of face piercings and shit. It started out as a trend in girls but now it’s moved over to guys as well.” I felt my eyebrows furrow, as I looked back over.
“They’re more of a pastel punk thing stereotypically, so they start fights and are really really over protective about the people they’re in relationships with. Unless they’re subs, obviously.” I nodded vaguely as some pale (e/c) eyes locked on mine. The person I was staring at was a small (body type) guy, he had (h/c) (h/l) hair with (pastel colour of choice) hilights in it. (or it can be fully pastel coloured, your choice.) He had a pale blue sweater with a large black upside down cross printed on the front, under that was what appeared to be a white button up. Around his neck was a black choker with a silver pentagram on it, and there were a few Nirvana pins on his sweater.
“Damn.. He’s kind of cute.” I thought to myself. Just as that crossed my mind, the taller male in the seat next to him looked at me as well, he looked less innocent and more intimidating than the boy, and he buried his face in the small boys neck the boy made a noise I couldn’t hear.

Pov - Y/n
Still in the diner.

A darkly clothed group caught my eye as I sat down with my own group, and I realized I was looking at a small group of dark goths. I smiled to myself as I looked at them, I hadn’t seen an original in forever. My eyes locked with a pair of brown ones from the table, the boy, who looked about a year or so older than me, had dark curly hair, and was wearing light eye makeup. His face was pale, probably from some kind of foundation, he was wearing a white shirt and black tail coat, along with some regular black skinny jeans and combat boots. I didn’t realize I had been staring until I felt my boyfriends’ breath against my neck, and he bit down on a spot that already had a hickey.
    “Ngh-- Evan that hurt!”
“Stop looking at him and pay attention to me.” I sighed and leaned my head on his shoulder.
¨Jesus, calm down. Y/n didn't even do anything dude.¨ Tyler butted in.
¨I can't have Y/n drooling over piles of fake goth instead of me.” I stayed quiet, and Tyler gave his girlfriend, Dot, a worried look. I could feel the curly haired boys eyes still on me, begging me to glance back at him, but I didn't. It´d piss Evan off even more if I did.
