Just the Beginning

Abby wake up! It's our first day out on Patrol Duty!" Slowly I wiggle out of my sheets and shield my eyes from the bright lights of the room as I try to find the person who was speaking to me.

What? I say while yawning as I notice my roommate Becca holding a blueberry muffin in one hand and a Chocolate chip muffin in the other hand.

"I know how much you like your blueberry muffins Abby."

I slowly sit up in my bed and wrap the sheets around me as Becca hands me the blueberry muffin. Taking a bite out of the muffin, I thank Becca for the muffin.

A loud BANG came from our room door.

"Girls lets go your patrol shift is beginning soon!"

"Shit!" Becca and I say as we frantically put on our uniforms for work and run to our patrol ship.

As we launch into space we start orbiting Earth.
Becca and I recline and continue to eat our muffins.

*Battle ship Detected*

As the ships alarms sound I place my feet back to the floor in alert mood.

"Oh this is not good, I'm sure that's a Galra battle ship." Becca says.

"We should go warn the others!" I quickly grab hold of the ships steering wheel and being to fly the ship back to earth.

"Abby look out!" Becca yelled as a purple beam shot past our ship and hit our home planet Earth. Becca and I sit there horrified as we watch Earth explode right in our faces.

We had no time to take action when a huge part of Earth came flying at our ship as the peice made contact a huge hole was left in the ship causing a space vacuum.

All I could hear was oxygen rushing out and the alarms of the ship blaring as Becca and I were pulled out into space.

Running out of breath I reach for Becca's hand. As we hold hands and look at eachother a tear falls down my face.

Was this it? Was this really the end?

As I slowly close my eyes the last I see is Becca and I getting swallowed by a huge robotic creature.
