Marinette's Pov

It's a sunny day in Paris I'm walking down the street lost in thought when Tikki pops up and sits on my shoulder, asking what's wrong. "It's nothing Tikki it's just been a long day and I'm worried about Adrien. He looked really tense and stressed out at school today I don't think things are going well at home." I say with a sigh, as we got older my feelings for Adrien stayed but they lessened over the years and we became real friends who could talk to each other, I was happy about that it meant I wasn't sounding like an idiot every time he said hello. "Awe Marinette he's probably just tired, didn't Nino say his dad is getting him to do tons of extra photo-shoots for his new line? He probably just needs some rest." Tikki says trying to reassure Me." yeh you're probably right Tikki I'm just worried" I say looking at the ground." you're a good friend Mari Adrien is lucky to have you" she chirps cheerfully. "thank you Tikki" I say as I look up to see where we are and I see we are walking past the agrest mansion, and as I look up I see a small object lying just outside the gate I go over I pick it up, it a ring. I look around to see if anyone could have dropped it there isn't anyone around it must belong to Adrien or someone in his house. I think to myself I go to ring the doorbell and give it back but Tikki stops me and says "wait don't that's a miraculous!" she shrieks flying in front of me. I stop and look at her wide eyed and then look back at the ring and gasp, its chat noirs ring!? What's this doing here? What do I do? Should I take it home and then give it to the kwami inside and they can take it back to chat? But what then? What if chat is hurt or it's too dangerous for the kwami to find him? Of chat is too far away? As if reading my mind Tikki says "it'll be fine Mari let's take him home and see what happened then we can work form there okay?" I nod and we walk home.

When we get home we go up to my room and I get changed into some comfy clothes, I grab a black crop top and black sweat pants with red and green dots over it. Once I'm changed I walk over to the ring that I'd put on my dresser and stare at it wondering what the hell I'm meant to do with it. "You know it's not going to hurt you right?" Tikki pops up and says scaring me. I jump and squeak before saying "well id guessed that it wasn't.... just I don't know what to do, do I put it on or?" I say picking it up and examining the ring before slipping it on my finger, I flash of bright green light fills the room scaring me and causing me to fall over. When I look up once the flash is gone I see I boy about my age with messy black hair with green highlights?! Granted you could only see them in the light, he had tanned skin and glowing green eyes with bright white teeth, he was wearing a black shirt with black dress trousers and shiny black shoes. I stared wide eyed at him as he looked around the room in confusion then he glanced at me and gasped. Marinette!?" he asks shocked to see me.

"What's going on what happened why and I hear how did I get here are you okay why are you on the floor" he asks question after question not stopping till he noticed I was on the floor. "um well hello strange person, I um found you or rather you're ring and I brought it home cause Tikki said it was a miraculous, I presume its chats but um I didn't know you where human how is that possible? And how do you know who I am? Is chat okay? Did he get hurt? Why aren't you with him? Did he get taken? Omg he did that's why you were on the street omg I have to find him-" I start rambling thinking of all the horrible things that could have happened to that cat, when Plagg interjects kneeling down in front of me "Mari honey calm okay? He's fine okay? No one did anything other than chat. He.... Got rid of me he tossed me out the window he didn't want to be chat noir anymore he was tired of it so he got rid of me. The kids fine so please honey calm down." He says while grabbing my hands begging me with his neon green eyes to calm down and stop worrying and I start to till I fully understand what he just said then I start to get mad how could chat just give up his responsibility like that?! That stupid cat left me. I'm about to spill so much anger out when I look at the kwami/human in front of me about to burst into tears. "I'm so sorry... um..." I say trying to comfort him without knowing his name "Plagg" he says softly looking down at the ground "Plagg. Well chat is being an idiot I can't believe he did that I'm so mad at him right now." I say fuming as I wrap my arms around Plagg. Why did chat do this to such a sweet kwa- wait how is he human? And how does he know who I am? "um Plagg? Um how do you know me? And um how are you human?" I ask not breaking the hug I think he really need this right now and I don't want him to have to tell me anything that's too hard for him without comfort. He hugs me tighter and answers "I know you cause you're ladybug and that you're in chat noirs class I see you a lot I think you're really cool Mari... and as for me being human it happened when chat disowned me the miraculous went into safety mode and It meant that when I came out id be human so I could find my way back to master Fu or wait out till my human form gave out and I rebounded with the ring or Fu found me and fixed the ring" he speaks with a soft voice as if he's ready to break at any moment. I hug him tighter and say "it'll be alright you can stay here I'll look after you aren't going back there any time soon I promise." I rub his back and push back to look him in the eye. "What?! Marinette no I couldn't that's not fair I'll just go back to master Fu hell know what to do I'll go back in the ring and wait for a new chat noir and then you can get one that might not throw me out a window. I'm so sorry for all this but I can't take your offer I'm sorry. He says looking quite frantic about it. I giggle at his antics, him and chat noir are very different I think we might get a long quite well. "Well too bad I say you have to stay and there is no arguing with me mister."
