Love As One

Sitting on this peaceful hill

The sun is out

Looking upon the beautiful meadow

The cherry blossom tree flowing in the wind

This blissful wind

Love is in the air

Though I sense no joy

She is not with me

I need her

To see her wavy hair

Flowing in the wind

To feel her delicate skin

As soft as a rose petal

To look into her captivating eyes

So full of joy, happiness, and life

A barrier between her and me

In the same fantasy

The barrier of fate

Keep me from seeing her

I want her

Please

Let me see her

I'll sacrifice anything for her

I push and shove

And bashed and banged

But still it stands

With no cracks

My fantasy world

Is no longer a blissful world

All I want is her

The desire for her

It has turned this world

Into a place of pain and despair

The sun is gone

Now there is a black edge fog

The meadow and the hill

Are now fields of dead grass

A force is pulling my soul from my body

I scream in agony

As I feel every rip and tear

I see her

On the other side

In her fantasy

I scream her name

One last time

Then silence

An empty vessel

Sits near the barrier

Motionless

Drifting into the dark abyss

That was once  the meadow

Memories flashing before my eyes

And I realized that

I shouldn't have sacrificed everything

If this is the price of love

Then I want a refund

The light will be no more than a memory

Slowly drifting into the darkness

I see only a dimming light

And to the light

I reach out and say

Goodbye my love

May you live

A blissful fantasy

Slowly dissipating

Into the darkness

A tear falls from my face

For a final farewell

Then a cry of determination

The dimming light grew brighter and brighter

a hand

A delicate hand

Reached out and pulled me out from the abyss

My eyes open to see those captivating eyes

It was her

She saved me

Tears of relief falling from her face

Each saying the same thing

"I heard you"

She grasped my hand

she says finally,

"I love you"

The sun came back out

The grass turned green again

And the meadow went back to normal

I said, "Finally, we are together."

Feeling the warming sun and the blessing breeze

Is now ten times better

Though out of wonder

I realized that

The cherry blossom tree remained the same

As if nothing happened

contemplating on this wonder

A flower petal flew into our hands

With such gracefulness

with some writing on it

Saying

Love As One
