I quickly grabbed a jacket from his hands and went out the door. I slid into the left backseat as Y's mother sat in the front. Shotgun.
Y plopped onto the seat next to me. She scooted to left, close to me. "Do you think she'll actually pass?"
"Yeah."
She frowned. She didn't like my answer.
"Well.. I don't. It would crush so many people that were touched by her smile and—."
"It doesn't matter if it crushes a lot of people. It matters if the brain will agree."
"Agree?"
"Never mind."
Silence. Then:
"Your father told me you wanted to study medicine."
He entered the car and started driving. I nodded to Y. She rested her head on my shoulder, "You're actually warm."
"You're actually really cold."
"Sorry."

I ran into the hallway of Willow's room and spotted Vonnie. She was sobbing. Her left hand touching the closed door and her right hand cupped to her eyes. "Miss Zono!" I heard Y shout behind me.
"Gabena, X, no French for you next week. Your French period will become your free period. I talked about it with the principal. Make sure you get that French essay done before Thursday."
"Miss Zono," she repeated, in a soft tone this time. "What happened to Willow?"
Vonnie looked up smiling. Really. "Willow is awake now. It's been too long though."
Y sighed with relief. My father appeared out of nowhere and hugged Vonnie and me. Ms. Gabena held onto Y.
Two long years. The wait. I began sobbing as one of the doctors opened the door. Willow shouted, "Brother!"
I dashed into the room and hugged her so tightly. "Brother, you're choking me."
"You didn't forget me, right?!"
Willow laughed. "Mhm. Same old X."
She pinched her nose, "And same old smell."
"Will!"
"Ew, don't call me that!"
"You used to call me Xav."
"Used to."
"How're the gym leaders doing?" Willow immediately asked. "My classmates?"
"They're all good." said Vonnie.
"Vonnie! Give me a hug!"
I was surprised at how fast Vonnie became. She literally threw herself into the room and wrapped her arms around Willow. Y just waved.
"Y!" Willow literally shouted. "Omigosh! Your hair is now way longer than from what I remember!"
She frowned. "My hair was always this way."
Willow's mouth went wide open. She frowned too, "So I guess I don't remember your hair length."
Then she blankly looked at me, "Wait.. who are you again?"
Vonnie slowly separated herself from Willow as my younger sister raised an eyebrow at my father. He looked away.
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
Her heart was stopping. A doctor shoved Y and her mother out of the way, "Get outta here now!"
"Go! Go! Go!" a female doctor called out.
We were forced out. I didn't dare to look at Y, who was frowning over the hair thing.

Y and I chose to walk around the hospital outside rather than sitting on chairs. "That was sudden."
I looked up at Y. I shrugged, "Yeah."
"I've never actually cut my hair now. Last time I did was a few months before I met Willow."
"Oh."
"You know?" the violinist said, looking over her shoulder at me. "Willow would sometimes fly with me. She would accompany me when I practiced doing stuff like crash-landings."
"Never knew."
"Okay."
Silence. More silence.
"I'm no medical student," she suddenly said. "So do you know anything about what's Willow dealing with?"
"Blood clot? I dunno."
"Really? I thought you would know.."
"I'm studying cancer. Not hearts."
"Comas... too?"
"Yeah."
"Oh.."
"Cancer doesn't really happen too often in hearts since their cells don't regenerate."
"That's why you don't really focus on that organ?"
"I guess."
"I can tell why Korrina lost it when you said that."
"What?"
"You say words that can piss people off."
"Like what?"
"Like what you are saying right now."
"Whatever."
"Don't look away like I'm gonna let it go," she said. "I'm pretty sure Willow wouldn't want to believe that you lean."
Then she whispered into my ear, "Tell Vonnie to play Minuet 3 with her cello."
Then, Y left. She probably still thinks I didn't get the rhythm.
"Y seemed a little angry when she passed by. Don't worry, she only came back up to check on her mom."
I turned to see Vonnie, "She asked for me to listen to you play Minuet 3 on your cello."
"A classic of Bach..." muttered Vonnie.
I looked to my left. A rumble in the bushes. I walked a little closer. "Vonnie."
"X?"
"There's something here."
"A Red Suit, X!"
The bush was lit on fire. The fire was spreading as Vonnie called out her Azumarill. Suddenly a hand was cupped against my mouth. The other hand was dragging me back into the hospital.
I looked over my shoulder. Y.
"Miss Zono! Where did the culprit go?"
"Gabena!" Vonnie shouted. "He went left!"
"Oui!" These girls.
Vonnie was really, really, really good at teaching French. She understood the difficulties of learning French since she has dealt with them when she began learning English and French at two years old. I started learning French when I was four because my father was already teaching me piano. Willow? She refused to learn French and wanted to learn Japanese. So she started attending classes at the age of five. My father spotted me on the floor.
"X! Vonnie! What happened?"
"A man in a red suit lit this bush in fire," Vonnie explained. Her attention turned to me. "Get Dad and Miss Gabena outta here."
"Which?"
"Both. I'll fight the fire."
A scream. I heard it. I ran out of the hospital. "Y!! I'm coming for you!!"
