"Sex is a beautiful thing. Don't be afraid of it."
"I know, I just want to wait until I'm with the right person. Someone that I'm in love with and know that I'm going to marry. I'm in no rush."
"So, do you think that Chresanto is the right person for you?"
I shrugged. "I don't know. I thought Christopher was the one for me but look what he's done."
"Don't compare Chresanto to Christopher. They're two different people. I see that Chresanto loves you a lot, B."
"And I love him a lot too. But I just don't know. I'm always having second thoughts from the past. He hasn't always been a good guy to me, but I will give him credit. He's defiantly changed since high school."
"He has changed very much, I can say that."
I shrugged. "You never know. Hopefully, Chresanto and I stay together for a long time because I love him."
"Can I ask you a question?"
"Shoot."
"Are you in love with Chresanto?"
I twirled my curly hair in my hands. "I started telling myself that I would never be in love with him. But honestly, I am in love with Chresanto and I hope we stay in love for a long time."
Jacob smiled. "I'm glad to here that."
"Yeah, me too. I'll see you later, Jacob. I'm about to go by November's house real quick."
"Alright, be safe. I love you."
"I love you too, brother."
Jacob
After having a brief conversation with Brielle, I decided to call up my dad. I tried calling him at least once a week since he was so busy with work and that family of his. He always thought that he gave more attention to them and felt bad, but I don't know why. I understand that he's far away and started a new life. As long as I'm happy I'm good.
"Hola, mi amor!" My father yelled into the phone. It always seems like he's excited when one of his americanized children call him.
I laughed. "Hola, dad."
"Como estas?"
"I'm great dad. Y usted?"
"Muy bien! I've been meaning to call you lately, but I couldn't get to it and you know how the times are all messed up."
"What's up? What do you need to talk about?"
"I kow that you and Darshay are having a little bebe and their are muchos trabajos in Mexico!"
"Yeah, but she's not giving birth for a while. What are you trying to say dad?"
He sighed. "I think it'll be best for you guys to move out here. Their many good jobs under my business, Jacob."
"Dad, I can't get up and just move out to Mexico like that. All my family and friends are here."
"You can always make friends out here, Jacob and you can meet all your relatives on my side of the family."
"Dad..."
"Just think about it, hijo. I have to go, hasta luego."
"Hasta luego." I said, hanging up the phone.
Damn, I thought. Did my dad really just ask me to move to Mexico? I couldn't just get up and leave all my friends and family. I lived in California all my life and didn't really want to be anywhere else, but at the same time if I moved to Mexico I was guarenteed a job, the money was pretty good for it to be in pesos, and I know I would be living in a nice house than in a apartment.
"Mom!" I yelled, running up the stairs.
"What?" She asked, sitting in her room applying some curlers to her head.
"I just got off the phone with dad." I said, sitting down on her bed.
Even though I couldn't see her face, I knew she just rolled her eyes. "How did that go?"
"Well, he was talking to me about coming down to Mexico."
"For what? Didn't you just leave a couple of weeks ago?"
"Yeah, but he wants me to come down there to get a job under his business. He says the money is good and I'll be able to support my family bettter."
"Jacob, tell me you're not thinking about moving down there."
"I mean, it's just a thought."
"Your father has some damn nerve thinking that I'm gonna let you come down to Mexico to live. You don't know nobody down there!"
"So you don't think I should go?"
"Hell no! You're only only twenty one, Jacob and you have a baby on the way! You and Darshay wouldn't know the first thing to taking care of a baby. You can't just up and move like that. You're stay in California and that's final. So, you can call ya' daddy back and tell him he'll have to find someone else."
I sighed. "What if I want to move there?"
"Do you really think Darshay is going to move down there with you? You have to think about her to, Jacob."
"I mean I haven't talked to her about it yet."
"I'm not letting my twenty one year old son move to Mexico so that's final."
I smirked. "Whatever, momma dukes. I'll talk to you later."
"I know you're about to go do something sneeky!" She yelled. "Don't forget you're not to old to get a ass whoopin'!"
