My mom, Step-Dad, and I were taking a trip down to the beach that was close to our house. We were going down the highway when a tractor trailer changed lanes and I guess the driver didn't see us behind him. When we got hit, our car went over an embankment killing my parents instantly. I survived the crash but seeing as my real dad walked out on me and my mom when I was thirteen. So I don't have a parent or guardian to move into with. A week later I was let out of the hospital and I was taken to a orphanage where they told me I was going to school and not to except to get adopted cause of my age. I just turned sixteen the week before the accident. As soon I got to the orphanage the kids started calling me names and picking on me. Now I don't talk anymore and I'm also called fat so I don't eat. I cut to make the pain go away. I have blonde hair and blue eyes. I want a nose ring and snake bites. I tried to make friends with the other girls but they just called me Emo, Fag, and Gothic bitch. It makes me cut. But who cares. I love to read and sing. I'm 16 years old. Favorite bands are BMTH, PTV, ETF, Opted, Eyes Set to Kill, SWS, BVB. Also I'm obsessed with day of the dead stuff, Stitch from Disney, and The Nightmare before Christmas. I've been here in this hellhole for over a week. The owner of the orphanage makes me clear up the other kid's messes and the whole house in a short amount of time. The case workers called us down for lineup which means that a couple is coming to see us. Cassie walked by my door as I was walking out the room. "I don't understand why you come when you never get pick. You are an Emo freak." I let that one roll off my back when normally I would have gotten upset. I headed down stairs to hear familiar voices. I go set in the greeting room when I hear someone says "Hey mute." I am trying not to get upset. It was true though I don't talk to anyone. thank god I have my i-pod that I'm listing to, to try and calm me down. I'm listing to "I Am bulletproof" by my all time favorite band, Black Veil Brides. I hear a group people walk in but I don't look up until I hear Cassie scream. I take out one of my ear buds and hear her say a bunch of Emo freaks are here. I look up and see Andy, Jinxx, Ashley, Jake, and C.C. standing right in front of me looking at Cassie pissed off. Then Andy looks me and smiles. I look back at my I-pod. Then I heard the phrase I've dreamed of. "We want her." I looked up to see Andy looking right at me.

"Be careful she cuts." I heard Cassie yell at them.

Then I heard the caseworker say. "Are you sure? She is different." With that said I knew that they would pick someone else like one of the younger kids. Then I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned and looked up to see C.C. smile at me. I gave a small smile back and looked at my new family.
