"Marinette?"

Something poked her in the side. Marinette looked up drowsily from her pillow and rubbed her eyes.

"What is it, Tikki?"

She asked her little companion. Tikki pointed to the clock on the wall.

"You're going to be late for school."

Marinette jumped out of bed in a flash and quickly changed. She smoothed down her clothes then grabbed her bag. She sighed.

"It must have been that villain me and Chat Noir defeated late last night. Sometimes it's hard to be Ladybug AND Marinette..."

Her kwami hovered next to her face.

"You are strong, Marinette. You can handle any situation."

Tikki said in her quite high-pitched voice. Marinette nodded.

"Thanks Tikki. I guess you're right. I should stop worrying about it."

Tikki smiled.

"Now, I better get going."

She dashed out of the door and ran all the way to school. When she got there, all was quiet. She quickly went up the stairs but then bumped into someone.

"Oh, sorry. I didn't see..."

She stopped suddenly and looked up into the eyes of Adrien. Marinette quickly looked down in embarrassment and started picking up her books which lay on floor. She could feel his eyes burning into her skin so she kept her focus on her books. Adrien crouched down and stretched out a hand.

"Here, let me help."

"T-thanks."

Marinette stammered, avoiding eye contact. She reached down to pick up the last of her books the same time as Adrien so his hand touched hers. She glanced at Adrien, blushing, then quickly moved her hand and looked away. Adrien stood up.

"Sorry Marinette. I wasn't looking where I was going."

He helped her up with Marinette still blushing.

"It was the fault mostly- I mean, it was mostly fault- no! I mean, it was mostly my fault..."

She blushed even harder after she had finally finished.

Me and my stupid words...

Adrien laughed a little then started walking up to the doors and opened them for her to go in first then he followed her in.

"Well, sorry anyway. I should have been more careful."

He glanced at her and smiled then they slowly walked into the classroom. They said their apologies to the teacher then Marinette looked around. Everyone started muttering or looking at them, especially Chloe. She was furious. She glared at Marinette as she sat down next to Alya.

"Hey girl!"

Whispered her friend.

"Did you walk with your boyfriend to school?"

Marinette blushed.

"No, of course not!"

She whispered back. Alya shrugged, grinning.

"Shame."

Marinette slowly stopped listening and started staring dreamily at Adrien.

Adrien... He's so perfect...

She sighed happily to herself then the bell started ringing.

"Alright, time for a break. We will continue this next Monday. I hope you all have been listening because there will be a test on Tuesday."

Everyone groaned then pushed and shoved their way to the door. Marinette and Alya walked out together.

"Hey, do want to hang out after school?" Alya asked. Marinette smiled and nodded. "Yeah, sure!"

The rest of the day seemed to drag slowly on until eventually the end of school bell rang. Marinette sighed with relief.

Finally! I'm so tired I could just...

Her thoughts were interrupted by Alya who was calling her name.

Oh no! I completely forgot I was going to hang out with Alya! I'm also doing a patrol with Chat Noir this afternoon, too...

Marinette stifled a sigh as she walked over to her friend. I can't wait until I get home!
