Gaberiella slammed on the brakes, causing me to jolt forward, slamming my head on the dashboard.
"What the hell, Gabby! You drive worse than Uncle Graham.." I scowled at my 20 year old sister and rubbed my forehead. She growled "I almost hit a deer!". She waited a few seconds before driving off again. I rolled my eyes and continued to hold my head. It hurt really bad. Hopefully I didn't get a concussion. I stared out the window, watching the trees flutter past as my sister was going about 90 miles per hour. My hand still on my head, my sister began to talk, "Isn't this fun? A new fresh start! For the both of us! You get to go to a new school, make friends, come with me on adventures!" she smiled happily. Her eyes still focused on the road. I shrugged, "Maybe if you learned how to drive, this WOULD be exciting!" I exclaimed, clearly pissed off at her actions. "Plus the deer would be our first meal here." I joked.

Gabby bit her lip and stared. "It could've messed up the car."

I sighed. We were riding in an old blue truck,  that belonged to our dad when he was in the military before he got mom pregnant. It needed to be fixed but it was sturdy enough to take us to North Carolina. We could get another one, but most of the money Gabby is getting is going for the house and her studies. She recently graduated from a school with a zoology degree. Now she wants to study bug shit. Not my type of career, really. I don't really pay much attention to animals, nature and why would you want to study grasshopper poop? "Hey Michael, get me a biscuit would you?" Gabby asked, looking over her shoulder.
I grumbled and looked in the back for the Bojangles bang and snatched it once I located it sitting on the lamp shade. I opened the back and dug for a spicy chicken biscuit and gave it to her. She smiled in response and started to eat it. I looked out the window and stared off into space. This was my first time ever moving. What's it like? Kids from my old school come from all sorts of places while I was always in boring old Sandy, Utah. But now I was moving and I didn't even agree with this decision. My mom and dad decided to move to Italy with half of my family but they wanted me to have the "american boy experience" so they forced me to move to North Carolina with my sister.

I grumbled. I bet they're having a great time! Touring Italy and shoving pizzas down their throats. While I'm going to a different place for my first year of high school. I already felt homesick. I wished this could be a dream and I just fell asleep on my chair playing GTA with my best friend, Lucas. I released my hand from my forehead and looked down. Blood. That's fucking great. We turned a corner and started going down a bumpy, dirt road. "Woah! Almost there Mike!" my sister laughed, barely having control of the truck.
I heard things smashing and banging against each other. I'm going to be pissed off if my sister's unicorn lamp smashed my Xbox. The road ended and we were in a patch of grass. Gabby clicked off her seatbelt and hopped out. She stretched and yawned. This was a signal for me to get out as well. I did the same and climbed out, looking at the house. I wrinkled my nose as I looked at it. It was old and most likely have an entire country of mice living under the porch.
"Isn't this wonderful?" she turned to me and smiled. I didn't reply. The house was giving me the creeps. Gabby started to fumble with the keys.

"Well c'mon! Let's get inside!" she winked at me and started skipping to the front door. I shuffled behind her.
