First off, I would like to say, I know, I know, acknowledgements are boring, but please read these ones so you can understand where this story comes from.
Okay, for starters, I want to thank a few people who I know will appreciate it if/when they read this:
I want to say thank you to my best friend, Jack, who is pretty much all I have and he has believed in me through this whole process of not just this book, but everything I do. If/when he reads this, I want to say thanks, Jack, for being there when I needed you, and for still being there, even when I wanted nothing to do with you. You get on my nerves sometimes, and that's okay, because that's what friends do. You've been in my life for like 6 months to a year, (definitely less than a year, we met in August but never really were friends or anything till like October and now it's March so that's.....6 months, yeah.) and you've helped me more than anyone else has. So thanks, for being my best friend. I also want to say that Jack has been a huge inspiration for one of the characters in this story (who you'll meet when you get there) so that's why I'm thanking him.
I also want to say thanks to a fellow writer and one of my acquaintance/friends, Emily. She's a Wattpad writer like me, and she's given me some ideas so I can write stuff other than FanFiction. So thanks Em, for helping with some storyline issues and tweaks I've made in this story, and for also being an inspiration for me. Her Wattpad username is @thebfgfrobscottle so be sure to check her out, her stuff is pretty good.
I would like to say thanks to another good friend of mine, Jackson. Thanks for helping me become tougher than I seem, stronger than I was, and as daring and ready as I will ever be. Sure, we've gotten In a weird, kinda ridiculous fight, and also a few small arguments here and there, but that just strengthened our friendship. Our arguments and fight(s) gave me inspiration for a lot of this story, so thanks for being as stubborn and ridiculous as you are, and I mean that in the nicest possible way. He's also inspired one of my characters in this story, so watch for stuff like this in the characters.
Also, thanks to my neighbors and friends/acquaintances of almost 10ish years, K and C. I am not going to mention their names, because I know their parents are strict About that, but they'll know who they are. You guys have been so kind and awesome and...weirdly close to me for pretty much our entire lives. I don't know how much we've hung out over the past almost decade we've known each other, but it's a lot. They've been there for me when times got rough, but sometimes they didn't have time for me. And even though we are apart now, one day we will be the three musketeers again, I can feel it.
The next person I want to thank is my loving and supportive mother who praised my writing skills like heck and I'm so grateful to have her to help shape my life into what it is now. I could never have had a better, more awesome, cooler mom growing up and still growing up than her. Mom, you've been an incredible help in my life and I love you for it, I hope you know that. You're kind of a big reason I wrote/am writing this story, and I hope you enjoy it, as well as any other reader does. You told me my stuff was good, and it made me feel so awesome inside, even though you were just reading the first chapter of one of my FanFictions, which was kind of awkward for me. (It's called "In One Apartment // Zach Herron" and it's a Zach Herron FanFiction from the band Why Don't We, And the profile is evaandkennis_ if you want to check it out by the way. This profile is @FoodAndFanFiction12 which is my 2nd Wattpad account. Just saying) But I still highly appreciated it and I always think of it when I'm writing. I love you mom!! Always know that!!
The last three people I'd like to thank are my 6th Grade English and Science teachers, Mr.Farley, Mrs.Mitchell, And Mrs.Brewer. (I'm still in the sixth grade writing this acknowledgment hahaha) The reason I said there are three yet two categories is because I started off with a different set of teachers, then switched to a new set of teachers, just to clarify. So first, Mrs.Brewer. She was my teacher for like three days, and yet I learned so much from her. We talk in the hallways occasionally, and it's pretty awesome. She's one of the coolest and nicest teachers I've EVER met, and I'm thankful I got the opportunity to meet her.
Next, Mrs.Mitchell. You have been my English teacher for almost all year now, and with the Assessment Testing just around the corner, we don't have much time left as it slowly transitions from March to April and then May, and we won't see each other like ever again. However, you've taught me so, so much and helped me a lot with improving my stories, even in the beginning of the year, and, by the way, I do apologize for not focusing in class sometimes and goofing off, because I truly do have an interest in writing and reading, I love it. Obviously. Thanks for all that you've done to help me, and for all the praise you've given my stories and my works. It all means so much to me. So, thank you.
Finally, Mr.Farley. I go around sometimes avoiding Science and saying "ughh I HATE Mr.Farley," and I'm not lying that I do that. I apologize for all of that, I now realize that you're a pretty great teacher, and that you're an awesome person, and you are good at what you do. I also am genuinely so sorry for disrupting and being disrespectful to you, it wasn't the right thing for me to do. I actually love science, it's super cool. Sometimes i just get a bit distracted and I'm sorry. But you teach me a lot, so I can write characters who know a lot. Example: One of the main characters in this story, Jeremy. He's a "science Nerd" and I wouldn't have been able to write everything he knows without your help from your teachings.
Thanks, for all you have done as teachers to help me succeed in my life.
So, as I mentioned, if you've real all the way down here, good. You learned where I got most, if not all of my ideas from for this story. Now, without further adieu, enjoy the story. I hope you like A Rainy Day.
